hello! i should explain the title, i am not saying that copyright violation is something you should undertake, but i was theoretically saying that any copyright-violating type thing like copying a cd-rom or a computer game would be an ideal usage of the TOAST software.
haha! i use it to copy audio cds all the time. i check them out of the library. here is how easy it is to use toast:
1. put coffee in the coffeepot. pour in water. start it brewing. (this is essential if you don't already have coffee made.)
2. launch toast.
3. drag your audio CD onto the window that says "drag cds here".
4. click on "write disc" and bam! the cd starts to write. finished in 10-15 minutes depending on how fast your CD-R is.
5. drink coffee while watching your status bar go across the screen.
6. take CD out of drive. label CD. put it in jewel case.
7. drink more coffee. it's good, isn't it? by now you are probably feeling that warmth that starts at your stomach and spreads upward until it feels like your whole body is lighter.
that's it! with toast, a spindle of blank CD-R's, and some commercial audio CDs you will be on your way. hooray!
so in a nutshell, i enjoy it for its price (it was free with my cd-r), its convenience, and its ease of use. you can burn audio cds, ISO volumes, and drag and drop folders and files onto the toast application to burn them.
