| pete7424's Full Review: Epson Stylus Photo 2000P Inkjet Printer |
After getting deeply into digital photography, this printer was the logical next step. With superior images, and presumably long image life, the printer is, in a word EXCELLENT! Wide carriage means images up to 13" wide, and those images are sparkling (Of course, with a printer this precise, you'll need a good digital camera, capable of yielding the resolution to utilize the resolution of the printer. Ink costs per 8 x 10 seem reasonable, estimated at between 15 & 20 cents, so one of the biggest criticisms of ink jet printers, ink costs, seems to be minimal.
For permanent photos, I use the recommended papers from Epson, and for the near term will absorb the added costs until I learn otherwise. (Other papers are said to fade rapidly. The combination of the Epson inks + certain Epson papers claim to produce longer life prints. Time will tell.)
No paper jams, sharp clear photo reproduction, reasonable ink costs, reasonable paper costs, and (claimed) archival output means to me that this printer is a real winner!
