I was introduced to QuickDot by a friend and thought it looked pretty neat. I then sent it to a few of my friends. The whole exchange lasted a day at the most.
I failed to see anything quick about it. I had to leave a message and they had to get e-mail, then go to the sight check for a message and so on. It was faster to just e-mail them myself. I had a better chance of winning the lottery than my friends and I hanging out at the site at the same time.
Also with most of my friends having ICQ, Yahoo messenger, or AOL/AIM I can talk to them instantly with one of those programs. It was really a waste of time. It wasn't useful, didn't have any features I thought were neat or a must have. Of course there isn't a download involved like the other programs, but once again I think email is just as fast.
