I have been using Midisoft's Studio software since they came out with version 2.0 a number of years ago. I have never been let down buy the power of the Studio program and each upgrade they have come out with has been better then the last.

As a university student pursuing a degree and a future career in computer music, I have been exposed to a large number of different software packages that have a lot of great features but none posses the power and combined abilities of Midisoft Studio for such a reasonably low price.

Many programs, often with lofty, professional prices, only give you the ability to sequence music. Others let you write music with a traditional score but are not designed as sequencing programs that let you play all channels back. Studio is both a MIDI Writing/Editing program as well as a MIDI Sequencer. It lets you view your data in a Score view setting, a Piano Role, an Event List and even a Wave Table. The program includes a real time mixer board for easy effect.

One great feature that is rare in so many other programs is the ability to add up to 256!!! separate audio tracks to you MIDI mix. This software all but eliminates the need for expensive sampling equipment.

I could go on and on about the features of this software, like the ability to print professional looking scores with lyrics and graphics, the ease of adding grace notes, triplets and rest, the drum line settings, and so many other awesome features.
