Mirc in my opinion is the best chat program out there today on the market, and it's basically freeware, which makes it even better. You start with a 30 day trial, but after the trial is over you still can use it with the needed functions. Mirc is a gateway to meeting all sorts of new people and learning all sorts of new things. But the one thing I want to address in this review is the underground stuff that happens on Mirc.
Mirc is full of hackers, pirated software, pirated music, anything on the computer that you can think of illegal. I found myself easily learning of this underground world of free music and software. But it's not as easy as you would think to gain access to. You must find the right people and prove yourself trustworthy some way and usually trade for things you want. This underground world on Mirc runs so deep as to the people who actually release the pirated games onto the market. Then there is a system of people who help spread it all throughout Mirc. It is quite well organized, and I find very interesting. Mirc is anyone's gateway to either the illegal or the good old chat. It is where the underworld of pirated software is centered, with everyone not in this underground world blind of it. Mirc, in my opinion as software is great, easy to use, and fun, and contains more than most people realize or thought could ever be.
