Cybergold was one of the very first sites that I signed up for as a way to earn on the internet. This was over 2 years ago.
It was easy to get up to the $10 that was needed to transfer as a payment on my Visa card. Past that though, I have found very few new offers to earn the 50 cents here and there.
I don't go for the buying of things to earn at sites such as this.
I will say that I had no problem at all transferring the money to the Visa card. That went through very fast.
I also will admit that I don't even visit the site very often anymore. For the most part it's the same things that I have seen listed. Also these are the same kinds of sites to sign up with and buy from that are on the other point earning or money making sites. Then you have to make a decision as to which site do you go through to join?
Cybergold is worth checking out, and I do recommend it to others.
They used to give you I think .50 cents.....or was it $2 for referring people to the site, but I don't think that option is there anymore.
Check it out for yourself to see what you think. I will continue to visit the site on occasion just in case there is something new.
UPDATE December 27,2000
Now it's been almost 3 years since I first joined Cybergold. They are still around. That right there says something.
A few months ago I was running their version of the ad bar, called the Goldbar. I absolutely loved it! It only paid 15 cents per hour, but it was unlimited on the amount of hours you could run it. Even without referrals I was making about $30 a month. It also caused no problems for me. Unfortunately they have discontinued the ad bar saying that they may bring it back. I am in hopes that they will.
I still rarely visit the site. They do, however, send out paid emails. These emails will have from 1 to 3 sites that you can visit for 5 cents just for visiting. Most of these sites offer more money if you register or purchase while you are there.
It will be a slow process for me to get the $10 needed to cash out, but I am still plugging away at it.
UPDATE May 13, 2001
I've waited awhile to get up to $10 to cash out. I finally reached the mark, but no longer have a credit card to transfer the earnings to. I went in to see what gift certificates were available and was amazed and glad to see that you may now transfer funds to your checking account.
There is a 95 cent handling fee for the transfer. The minimum you can transfer is $4.05, which means you must have $5 in your account to also cover the 95 cent handling fee.
Cybergold states to allow 7-10 days for the transfer to your checking account. I cashed out on May 3rd, and today is the 13th. As of today the deposit has not been posted to my account. They have paid in the past so I am giving them the benefit of the doubt. It may also be 7-10 business days.
