I ordered this scanner through an advertisement that AOL put on my screen upon start up one day in August. Since it was featured by AOL I assumed that it would be a pretty good product.
It didn't take very long for the scanner to arrive. I proceeded to hook it up to my computer right away as I was eager to have the scanner for a lot of projects I had been putting off.
The instructions for connection seemed fairly easy to me, and it didn't take that long to finish the assembly.
In the time I have had the scanner I think it has worked for me all of three or four times. I am having so much trouble getting help and technical support that I am thoroughly disappointed in this product.
I paid over Eighty dollars for the machine after rebate, and expected much better service than I received.
I have tried to contact AGFA several times and received some notes but they were unsatisfactory and hard to understand.
I contacted AOL service and I am now in the process of trying to get some satisfaction with their help.
I am contemplating sending the scanner back to AGFA and purchasing one from a local store and definitely from a different company.
I would not recommend a purchase of this scanner to anyone.
It is the AGFA SNAPSCAN1212P.
