I'd heard about this product from all the hype on the internet and after some research decided that I could do without such a fast card because I only do 2D work. But!!! wait.
I found the VooDoo 3 2000 one with a rebate and on sale I decided to buy it and try it. Wow is all I can say. I tried the PCI version on my AMD K6 II 350. It installed easily and made the computer overall much faster.
Now this card is on sale or clearance everywhere and still has a $30 rebate until 12/30/00 (I think) so it's a great value. While I'm sure that you can do better for 3D gaming, it's a very capable video card for your daily 2D work. The speed and resolution is fantastic for the price.
It will handle virtually any monitor that you can throw at it up to 21" high refresh rates and at high resolutions. This is truly a 'standard' card to have around.
