| Babycarrots's Full Review: HP LaserJet 4050 USB-Mac Printer |
As information technology grows and grows HP remains forefront in the picture. If you are using a HP desktop PC or running from an HP network system you know you are in good hands. So, with all this HP in your office why not round out the picture with a quality HP printer such as the 4050 USB.
HP Laserjet 4050 USB-Mac
A great addition in my workplace. We have several of these systems floating around several of the offices I visit on a regular basis. This is just great for the business that has a big need for a great printer, but not the desire or capacity to require a large, high end printer.
This unit will do everything a growing business would need. To give you the general idea it runs out 17 pages a minute. Now it doesn't work in color as this is only a black and white printer. Even without color it does include a lot of feature to complete a business package.
It will use all sorts of paper media, along with envelopes. It does print out booklet style forms too. So basically, this will assist you in carrying out normal, day to day, business activities.
Also, it can handle a pretty good load. This printer is rated at 65,000 pages a month. Great for not having to change printer cartridges every other day, as the maintainence is very minimal from what use I have had on it.
Built for the long haul
It really can keep up. The paper trays are designed to hold up to 600 pages at a time. Nothing more annoying that being half way through a job and having to throw in a ream of paper. On the upgrade side it also has 3 memory slots to upgrade in so that you can handle the times when a lot of items will go into a print que to be processed.
Nothing like an HP warranty
HP has placed a one year return to HP warranty. Meaning if anything goes wrong with this unit you simply return it to HP for repair. To be best prepared for the unexpected, it would behove you to keep an older printer or alternate around just incase something were to go wrong, to compensate for the time your printer could be under repair. They honor their warranties very well, and no worries should go into that when making your buying decision.
What would this cost my business to install?
The average cost of this printer is around 1200 dollars. I was not personally involved in the business purchase of our system, so that is the best figure I can provide. I do know this, it was worth every bit of 1200. The maintainence is low, and of the units we use, we have yet to have to send one back for repair. The user functions are very easy to figure out, and even easier to install on our networks. Basically this printer, despite not having all the options a high end printer provides, was a sound buying decision for a medium sized workplace. It does what we ask of it, when we ask it to. In my mind I would recommend it to anyone, and wouldn't ever think twice about putting my money and faith into any HP product.
