WOW!!
This site offers 150 free digital prints (4x6 size) just for signing up.
(By Jan 31 2000) They will only charge you $1.50 for shipping for each order, even up to 150 prints.
I am amazed at the freebies all the startup companies have been giving up, it’s a great time to be a computer users.
Digital output is what I crave and FREE is better than paying for it.
I am still awaiting my final printouts from Photoaccess, but they say they are guaranteed. All I have paid for 67 photos is $1.50 shipping.
When the photos arrive I will add to this opinion as to the quality of the output.
I am sure they will be as good as shutterfly because they use the same process, equipment and paper. For now, this service is a great deal! Only pay shipping.
Here is the price breakdown AFTER you finish the 150 freebies
They offer Regular prints and Mugs, Cups, Mouse pads, shirts, frames, even baseball covers! All for $12.95 to $24.95.
Prints are: 4x6 - .45 5x7 - $1.80 8x10 - $2.95 11x14 - $6.95
GREAT Prices compared to other services.
They even have Packages like when you order school photos.
Uploading the photos is fairly easy with their streamer plug in. It allows you to upload multiple photos and has a resume upload capability (In case of a disconnect)
The interface and website leaves much to be desired, but it is a fast site, without the long wait for overused graphics. The extras are all there, create and share photos with friends and family and the ability to create albums.
Problems encountered:
The site has gotten “stuck” several times, which means their server temporarily shut down, or was busy doing something else. Sort of like epinions.com when you are trying to load a page, it sometimes takes forever and then everything is ok.
The customer service leaves LOTS to be desired. The help and FAQ’s are hard to find. Several trips to the FAQ’s will be required, as the site does not have “section” help. Not a good sign for a new company. Especially with all the competition.
Bottom Line:
Great Deal, you get 150 free 4x6’s and all you have to pay is shipping. They have the best prices on prints available now. I am going to ring up all 150 photos and test them on some bigger sizes. I suggest you do the same; all you have to lose at most is $1.50 for shipping.
