Pros:Small program, remembers all your passwords with IDS address and credit card info, password option to protect your own info
Cons:Running with other programs may strain memory, possible conflicts with IE 5
Face it, you may have a TON of password to remember whenever you go online, and what about those annoying forms that you have to fill out? Well, with Gator you no longer have to fret about that. Just one, single password is all you have to remember when you want to access to your passwords and IDs (and to keep them away from sprying people).
The program is small, and runs in the background of the system. In addition to remembering you passwords, it will also recall your address, Social Security number and phone number. If you are a heavy online shopper, Gator will be a god send for you as your credit card and billing addresses are just a few fingertips away. Multiple users can also use Gator as well.
The drawbacks are small, but a little annoying. If you use Internet Explorer 5, the browser ALSO remembers passwords and IDs! This can cause a conflict with Gator, IE 5 will fill it out first THEN Gator comes with the information. But this annoyance can be thwarted by disabling the remember passwords option in IE 5.
Gator is actually a good freebie program. No ads or pleas from them to register, and its pretty small program. However, if you are looking to run it with other programs such as AllAdvantage and AOL messenger in the background, it might cause a strain on the memory.
