Emachines is constantly improving their computers. Computers made three months ago are not the same as ones you can buy today. Talk to the salesman, they will let you know what to expect. Right now only Dell computers have fewer fatal problems than emachines. Most of emachines problems are software or user problems. Tec support is emachines weakest point. Trigem has made computes for emachines, compaq, hewlett packard, and IBM. When Trigem stopped making computers for IBM, they didn't stop production. They changed the name on the box to emachines. If a computer is assembled in Korea or China, chances are it was made by Trigem. Trigem makes thirty percent of the computers in the world. If you want the lowest price buy an emachine, if you want the name buy a compaq or hewlett packard.
