Good DealOct 26 '99 Write an essay on this topic.My family has been a Gateway family for the last eight years. We find their prices to be outstanding. Tech Support, if you opt for the slightly more expensive option, is very good. The computers now even come with color-coded plugs, so you can't go wrong, no matter how inept you are. I have a PIII 600 with which I'm very happy. It has given me trouble-free fast performance. My only complaints are that it came with only 128 MB of RAM, and I'd like more. Gateway still beats out the competition by providing quality parts at good prices. Compatibility is not a problem, as they use namebrand parts, even opting to use Intel processors over Cyrix or AMD, but without the great price hike. Overall, I think Gateway is certainly the way to go when it comes to buying a new PC.  |
