Pros: Entertaining, addicting, easy at first, continues to challenge
Cons: time flies, addicting, only men as guests???
The Bottom Line: An addicting world where all you want to do is build park after park after park... well known in conversation amongst those who play.

| manky's Full Review: Roller Coaster Tycoon For Windows |
I knew after reading other Epinions on this game that it was for me! Boy was I underestimating, this is perfectly what I was looking for: something other than the internet or Tetris to take up some time and be enjoyable.
First off this game is simple to understand, even for a beginner. Yet it still challenges you as you progress to bigger and bigger parks. Trying to endlessly balance park maintenance, guest happiness, and money for yourself is the hardest part of all.
I love how it has become almost an epidemic amongst my friends and family, we can gather and discuss our new discoveries at length on a regular basis!
Getting down to the nitty gritty: you build an amusement park, hire upkeepers, set up food stands scenery etc, all in efforts to reach a goal (such as 1000 guest in the park by year 3 with a rating of at least 700!) Along the way a mysterious messenger will let you know as people get lost, think your park is dirty etc. Try hard not to let anyone die, and to make your handymen quickly clean up all ride induced puke.
The downside (as everything has one) is that you can spend hours with out realizing how long it has actually been... and strangely enough, Am I the only one who has noticed that all guest look oddly masculine, yet they have female names as well!?!
