I've used many different zip programs, including PKUNZIP and EasyZip. And let me tell you, WinZip is the one to go with. WinZip has the most available features that let you do (basically) whatever you want. You can open and extract all types of zipped or compressed files in just seconds. Also, it adds options to windows explorer to add files to zips extremely quickly. What can get annoying about the program is the startup screen if you haven't registered. This is easily avoidable though: just register! It also has options that you can choose in order to change the display of the basic program depending on your level of familiarity with compressed files. So if you're looking for a great compression utility, definitely look into WinZip. It's the best way to go.
