I decided to build my own computer system and was on a budget. After a bit of research I decided that this motherboard was decent and it was pretty inexpensive. Well I have since found out that you usually get what you pay for.
The board was easy to install with decent documentation. I had no compatibility problems with any of the components I chose to use either. It wasn't until about six months after I had this board that I began to have some minor problems. I started getting an error message on startup and it was resetting my CMOS settings to the default. I went to the FIC webpage and looked on the FAQ page which was easily found. I found the exact problem I was having listed much to my amazement. It said I needed a new battery on my motherboard. A new battery after only six months!?! To be honest do far this is the only problem I have encountered so far and it isn't a huge one.
While browsing through the FAQ I also noticed that this board isn't compatible with Voodoo 3 video cards. Also FIC does not recommend wasting a 32MB AGP video card with this board. If you play video games and want the best graphics you will want a 32MB video card. so this board isn't for you.
This motherboard is exactly what it seems to be, a cheap board good for people who are just going to surf the internet or office type applications that do not require fancy graphics. If you are of this group of people then this card may be what you are looking for, if not then try a different motherboard as this one will disappoint you.
