Pros: Cost compared to other P4 systems, Support, Good internal component choices. Cons: Bigger, bulkier case when compared to the prior Dells.
The first thing is that there must be something about the computer to justify its purchase. It's a few hundred more than a similarly equipped and lightning-fast P3 1000MHz system, so why spend the extra money?
Well, I needed another (or maybe...

Pros: Fast, good support, expandable... Cons: Can be pricey depending on what you want.
I can officially say that I am a power freak; I also love to be on the cutting edge of technology and that is why after I bought my Inspiron 8000 from Dell, I went back and upgraded my desktop as well. After careful consideration and nearly two months of...

Pros: Looks good. Fast. Decent tech support (sometimes). Cons: Flimsy. Parts are outrageous! Not user servicable.
OK, this may sound a little harsh, but I'm not overly impressed with my $2K "dream machine". It seems I am the minority here, but I just have to say it. I am trying to encourage any would-be buyer to shop long and hard first.
I purchased the...

Pros: Large 19" Trinitron Monitor
Incredible digital sound
Numerous Expansion Slots
Four USB Ports Cons: Technical issues with some monitors
On going issues with Santa Cruz sound card
This is my very first Dell Computer. I have been a long time owner of Compaq, but recently felt that their customer service and drive for innovation have fallen behind cross state rival Dell.
I used the dell.com website to custom craft this...

Pros: Pentium 4 Power from today's top PC company Cons: Pricey
I purchased Dell's Dimension 8100 as a replacement for my aging Dimension XPS D300 (a PII 300). The Dimension 8100 is a solid multimedia performer. Coupled with fast Rambus memory and Nvidia's GeForce2 Ultra video card, flight simulations and action...

Pros: Fast speed; reliable customer service; very upgradeable Cons: Windows software is new so bugs are present
I purchased the Dell Dimension 8100 series desktop in June of 2001. (They are now front-marketing their 8200 series). I am quite satisfied with the new computer and I feel that Dell has a far superior customer service support than any of the other...

Sales Department failed to ask questions when ordering....
Being an avid electronic guru I was anxiously awaiting the new Pentium 4's this past year. They were delayed more than once and that day in early December 2000 when I saw Dell was finally accepting orders I was ecstatic! After all, this was to be...

Pros: Very good computer from a reliable company Cons: A little pricey.
The negative epinions I've read about this computer is basically because it's not worth your money (i.e. over $2000). Well, I think it's worth my money because I paid $1700 for it through a special promotion on their website. Basically I got a 1.3...

Pros: Fast, Well made computer Cons: A newer, faster computer will come out in 3-6 months
I purchased a new Dell 8100 right before Christmas. This is my sixth PC dating back to the late '80s when I had an old Amstrad 8086 model. My experience has taught me that it is usually best to buy the latest technology you can unless it is outrageously...
