Pros: Nice to look at, easy to run (Most of the time) great CS. Cons: Some glitches
After a bad incident with Compusa, I was a bit leary of ordering a computer online. DELL has restored my faith in on-line computer shopping! I ordered this computer on-line, complete with Customer Support and tech suggestions (Not that I needed help,...

Pros: Fast, Good Looks, Affordability Cons: Speakers
Yes! I finally got my Dell Dimension 8100! This computer is an upgrade from a Dell Latitude which served my needs well but was outdated and took up a lot of space on my desktop because of all the extra peripherals that I had added throughout the years....

Pros: fast, trouble-free (so far) Cons: expensive
I recently purchased a Dell Dimension 8100 (1500 MHz). Since I use it primarily as an Autocad workstation, I'm very picky about the system I use. This computer has several advantages.
First of all, the price is right. Needless to say, it's an...

Pros: Great Speed. Easy to install. Finally got out of the vanilla box Cons: Tech Support has been deteriorated. Must buy expensive RDRAM to beef up RAM.
I purchased two 8100 models (one for work in Dec. 2000 and the other for home in June.) Part of my job requires a computer with heavy computing power, therefore I am generally happy about my choice.
Dell has improved overall quality of 8100...

Dell had been recommended by several friends and co-workers and now I know why! I was able to build a computer to suit my specific needs and order right from the website.
The computer was extremely simple to set up, mainly because the box included a...

Pros: Powerful, fast, easy to use, lodes of software, good looking Cons: My old non-USB devices are limited on the new USB platforms
First off, I bought this machine on Dell's refurbished page and paid a lot less than buying a configured machine (P4-1.5Ghz $1150 versus $2300... I would recommend doing this). The machine arrived, I opened it up, hooked up the cables and everything...

Pros: extremely fast and sleek design Cons: windows Me
The Dell 8100 is the only way to go. After researching different desktop computer for about two month I took the plunge when Intel dropped the price of the P4. For a modest 1600 dollars I received a Pentium 4 running at 1.7 ghz with 128 rdram. Dell was...

Pros: Nice Case, High Speed performance Cons: Needs upgrades to run at full potential
With the Dell 8100 series you'll be purchasing a quality machine at a great price. Especially if you take advantage of one of Dell's always changing special offers.
Basic stuff to know, you'll want to get at least 128megs of PC-800 RDRAM the...

Pros: Power, speed, quality, multi-tasking.
User friendly programming and tutorials supplied by DELL.
Cons: Can't run older DOS programs with Windows ME
This computer system is great. I am using it for or over 3 months and have not thrown anything at it that it can't handle.
Mutli-tasking is a snap: burn a CD while on the internet, create a birthday card while burning a CD, listening to music while...

Pros: Nice looking case, good performance with new OS. Cons: Windows Millenium Edition (Windows ME), the shipping, high cost and Dell as a whole.
I bought this computer because I was told by everyone who owned a Dell that they are the best. So for about 3 months I looked into it and just left it at that. Then one day I just went ahead and ordered one. It was pretty much your basic 8100...

Pros: Cutting Edge Technology at a good price Cons: Bad tech support and varying system performance
Well I was optimistic when my cousin bought the system and as the family guru when it comes to computers I was the one in charge of making it run flawlessly. Well it's been about 2 months with the computer and lets say I am 50/50 about its performance....

Pentium 4. Wow. This is the ultimate gaming machine. Great sound, amazing graphics, and unbelievable speed combine to form the best computer ever. The price isn't too bad either, for such a new machine, 2000 bucks. It's worth it. The computer caused me...
