Pros: Fast, easy, set-up. Sleek design. FAST! 6 USB (2 front, 2 rear, 2 keyboard). Cons: 4 PCI slots - I could use another 2. CD-RW drawer rattles when opening/closing/spinning.
Easy, out-of-box set-up in minutes. Plug it in and turn it on. Software steps you through the rest of XP configuration/orientation. Sleek mini-tower design, but could use a couple more PCI slots. Tower has 2 USB ports in rear (for keyboard & mouse),...

Pros: decent PC, though not great Cons: deceiptful marketting, no support, driver issues, and more
First, we should address why my opinion seems to differ from most you'll see. The problem with Dell is the same as the problem with AOL. Lots of people have never used anything else, but are happy enough with it so they tell their friends to get it....

Pros: Beautiful case, quality and sensibly engineered, VERY fast desktop PC Cons: A bit pricey but worth it.
For starters, I have not purchased a prebuilt computer in over 10 years. Being an IT professional I have always found it cheaper to build my own systems but have worked with Dell and many other computer vendors during the course of my career. Dells...

Pros: Faster than a wink, we have no programs it cannot handle, easy to use Cons: Too many ads for add-ons or upgrades to included hardware/software. EVEY ACCESSORY BROKE!!
NOW IT IS 3 YRS LATER Dell customer service has gotten worse. The main desktop components still work fine. Every thing else stated to break after the extended warranty was up (what a waste of $225). It started with one serial bus plug not seeming ...

Pros: very fast and very easy to put together because everything is color coded. Fast shipping Cons: VERY expensive!
I was getting pretty annoyed by my really slow Compaq Presario which I had purchased 3 years ago, I had to constantly reinstall Windows and in doing that I had to call my ISP company and have them talk me through the process of getting all that back up...

Pros: None Cons: Slow, poor tech support, it's a Dell
As a computer tech, I see a lot of computers on a day to day basis, and you can do so much better than Dell.
Their machines may be nice to look at, but consistantly are some of the worst performers out there. Most reviews pit them at the...

Pros: Great design, quiet and sleek! Cons: Does everyone have to use black?
This system is very well put together. I have been impressed with the thought and design that went into this system. I especially like the "butterfly" case, which opens wide for folks with big hands like me. This makes troubleshooting and expansion...

Pros: Fast, user-friendly, and unique Cons: pretty expensive
This Dell computer is the best. The ability to customize t makes it even better. You can get up to 2 GB SDRAM (that's very fast!) and up to 2 GHZ!. I think the max memory is 100 GB. You will never run out of memory. Enough with the specs now.

Pros: The Dell Dimension 8200 is fast, quiet, and very smooth operation Cons: Long wait on phone when checking on my online order
We have had our Dimension for 2 months and after living with a four year old Gateway G6, find the Dell a pleasure. The online ordering process was impressive. I received the 90 day no interest payment option and was able to order a wireless cable...

After 3 mos. ownership of Dell Dimension 8200 for home use, I'm tickled pink. The machine is quality, with order and delivery without hitch. Glad I chose Dell. Just wish I'd gone for home theater sound! Came loaded with free software, which was good...
