The Little Dell that Couldn't

by vi9 , Jun 19 '01
Pros: It's a Dell...if that means anything
Cons: Horrible speed and lacking system resources.
My friends, we have all come to recognize Dell as a brand name when dealing with computers. Heck, Dell is number one in direct sales in the U.S. However these computers they sell are entirely over-priced. I recently built a 1.2Gig Pentium III computer...

by goink , Mar 16 '00
Pros: quick delivery, powerful, good warranty, comes with a lot of extras
Cons: i dont speak for allbut mines take a while to load and is a little pricey
I have this computer and two of my friends do too. We are all saticefied with it. Unlike some computer companies Dell lets you customize you needs and wants on the computer. Even though the price is sometimes a little high it is well worth it.

Dell Dimension is a Best Buy

by opie0626 , Sep 14 '00
Pros: speed, reliability, easy open case
Cons: price,
Purchased my Dell several months ago and its' been running flawlessly.
Had Dell upgrade the hard drive to 25 gigs so I don't have to worry about running out of disk space for a long time, if ever. Have never had a need to contact Dell CS, so I can't...

Perfect System All Around

by jammin734 , Apr 25 '00
Pros: Excellent Service and Support, Fast and Reliable, Works Very Well
Cons: A Few Minor Problems
I purchased this computer almost nine months ago, and I still don't feel outdated. At 500mhz, this computer more than aptly plays all games. Since I customized it to have 256mb of SDRAM, I can seamlessly run six or seven applications at the same time....

Good enough for the vast majority

by sr4b , Feb 11 '01
Pros: web browsing, MS office type applications, decent performance and a great value
Cons: Not enough for today's most demanding games.
I bought mine when it first came out (in May of '99). It has and continues to serve me well. I run Windows 2000 (though I used to use Win98). It has been reliable, trouble-free, and more than adequate for my law school years and beyond.

Nothing to write home about unless asking for help and sympathy. Well it has some nice things about it but I hate one main thing about it. It has 128 meg of ram and about every 130 minutes it seems like it is frozen but then five mins later it works...

Pros: Technical Support, Brand name Components

Reliable performance, easy upgrading

by aaronavouris , Oct 04 '00
Pros: Price, Options, Reliability
Cons: Minor errors slightly too often
I've had Dell computers for 9 years now, this being the second. The first, a 486, was great until it's time had come, and after 8 years, everything started to falter, but that's definitely expected, especially how much it was used. The new XPS T-500...
