Pros: None that deserve mention. Cons: Only 16 megs, no 32 bit support, subpar performance compared to TNT2.
After the success of the Voodoo and the Voodoo 2, everyone was expecting that 3dfx would take the 3D performance crown again. No one really expected it to happen this way.
The Voodoo 3 enjoyed only a short time at the top, before it was...

Pros: Fast, smooth gameplay. Great operating system compatibility outside of games. Cons: OpenGL still lacks stability.
The Voodoo3 3000 AGP seems to be the standard by which a lot of other cards are measured now. Sure, there are some that do better, but there are a LOT more that can't touch this card. For the price, the performance you get is as good or better than...

Pros: Good graphics, easy install Cons: Outdated, odd S-video
In April 98, we purchaced our Compaq 5600i series. Since we were going to that from a Pentium-133, this was a huge performance increase. It came bundled with an ATI Rage 128 card, which, after awhile, we discovered was junk. So, I decided to go...

Pros: Easy instructions and install. Cons: Not as fast as a top of the line card should be.
Ok I would just like to say that I was very impressed with the install on this little baby. They made the instructions clear, but not condesending, and I didn't have to hunt down extra files like I have sometimes had to do with older cards. I like the...

Pros: Compatibility, Price Cons: None
I purchased this product because I was having many problems running graphic intensive programs (read: games) with my STB Velocity 128 3D card. While the STB was DirectX certified, most games claimed to be compatible with it, and it was only 3 years old,...

Pros: Graphics are crisp and animation is fluid. Since it is a 3dfx card, driver support for games should not be an issue. Cons: Took some tweaking after installing in order to get my monitor refresh settings right
The Voodoo3 3000 is a great card for gaming. Games such as Quake 3 and Unreal Tournament really came to life after replacing my old 4 meg integrated 3D card with the Voodoo. Unfortunately I had to settle for a PCI version of the 3000 since my computer...

Pros: Awesome performance for under $150 Cons: Lacks 32-bit 3D color support
I just love this card!! From the minute I saw the pre-release spec's I knew this was going to be a great card. I originally had a Matrox Millenium II and a 3dfx 12MB Voodoo2 3D card. I was extremely impressed at the performance of the card right from...

Pros: Good 3D, PCI&AGP Versions, Great Price! Cons: No 32bit render, lacks some features found on newer 3D cards, Card run quite H@T!
When it comes to video cards these days, boy does it get confusing. So many boards with so many features. It comes down to this: What do I have to spend, and what are your graphical needs. For about $100.00 bucks the Voodoo3 3000, packs a real punch....

Pros: Cheap, decent performer, large software base Cons: a bit slow when compared to the latest cards
Ah, the venerable 3dfx Voodoo chipset. What you get with this card is a lot of software support, and a proven method. What you don't get is the fastest card out there. But when you look at it, this card also doesn't cost as much as many other cards...

Pros: Fast Graphic Card available for PCI. Under $150. Cons: Doesn't support Mac
I recently purchased a 3dfx Voodoo3 3000 PCI card. Right when I popped that baby in I loved it! The graphics were superior to any other my computer has ever had on it. I mainly bought it for first person shooter games, but saw it making a difference to...

Pros: good support, 166mhz, overall good card Cons: limited TV options, 16 bit(not a big deal)
I recently put together a computer this summer. Now being at college and all i had to be sure to buy a 3D card that would suffice for playing such games as Rainbow Six/Rogue Spear. After looking around www.pricewatch.com, which is a great site to visit...

Pros: stable, decent quality drivers Cons: there are faster cards out now
I have a Voodoo3 3000 PCI card in my AMD Athlon 850 MHz system w/128mb RAM. I'm holding out for the Voodoo5 and this makes a nice stop-over card. I will eventually stick it in my AMD K6-3 400 w/128mb RAM for casual gaming. I spent about $70 on the card...

Pros: very fast Cons: better cards exist
In one sentence: I love this video card! Before, I used to buy and use Diamond videocards, but 3Dfx truly fits my needs better (i.e. computer games, hehe). I won't give you the technical details and the numbers (triangles per second, etc.), as you can...

Pros: Fast!!!! Nice graphics!!! Cons: Expensive
I honestly don't know much about 3d graphics acceleration in general, except that they all sorta look the same to me and they always enhance the performance of the computer in terms of graphics.
I bought the Voodoo3 3000 PCI card because it...
