  • Great price, great video card

    Dec 13 '00
    Pros: Cheap, very good graphics
Cons: Not as good as Voodoo5 or GeForce2

Summary: I have been a Voodoo graphics card user since the days of the voodoo 1 add-on card. I bought a Voodoo 3 2000 when they first came on the market, and I have been very pleased with it so far. After a couple of years now, the card still makes new games ... read more

  • You may want to consider NVidia.

    Dec 09 '01
Pros: Good price to performance ratio
    Cons: No new driver support

Summary: I have owned and used the Voodoo3 2000 as my graphics card for over a year now. It offers good performance compared to similarly priced cards. However, due to recent events, there are a few reasons a Voodoo may not be right for you. To ... read more

    Jun 13 '01
Pros: Good Performance Low Price Supports 3dfx Glide
Cons: 3dfx have shutdown Not as fast as latest offerings

Summary: I was always an avid fan of 3dfx. Ever since I bought a 3dfx banshee card I found them the best. Soon as the Voodoo3 came out in Australia, I had to get one! The card came in a lovely (depends on taste) box with easy to read installation ... read more

  • The little card that could !

    Mar 09 '01
Pros: Cheap, easy to install, good compatability
Cons: Not g-force speed, driver updates.

Summary: Anyone who is not a prolific gamer with a top of the range processor and oodles of ram, could make use of the little wonder from 3dfx. The card I had was a PCI model and not the AGP (but to be frank, there is not as much difference as you may ... read more

  • 2000 is not dead!

    Feb 13 '01
Pros: Does the job for entry-level to mid-level gamers, low cost
Cons: there are better cards out there, faster, cleaner

Summary: half-life, i loved it, but my 4mb or RAM video card that came with my pc left something to be desired. So I search, I research, and I decide I need video card. I go to the stores, the newest ones are to run me AT LEAST 150 bucks! I hit ebay and take a ... read more

  • Why waste money on extra fluff? This'l cover you

    Jan 09 '01
Pros: Easy to use, cheap, and effective. Highly compatible with most platforms and games
Cons: Can't handle 1780x1450 resolution (like you'd need to anyway)

Summary: I still don't understand why people spend $300+ on a video card that they really don't need. This seems to cover all of the details and neccessitys of a video card at a very decent price. I have tested this with Forsaken, Unreal, Motoracer, and FF7, and ... read more

  • A great card in its time.

    Dec 12 '00
Pros: Most widely supported card, great frame rates and resolution.
Cons: It's ancient history now. There are many faster cards out there.

Summary: A year ago this card was a screamer. It could make any old computer look new with the way it handled graphics. Now, in the rapidly evolving world of graphics cards, it's nowhere near the fastest anymore. This was the most widely supported ... read more

  • Not bad for people with older machines

    Nov 13 '00
Pros: decent price, good for the older system
Cons: not too quick, only 16 Mb memory, no 32 bit colour

Summary: The Voodoo3 2000 was the basic 16 Mb version of the then new offering from 3dfx, the Voodoo 3. The distinguishing features between the different models of the Voodoo 3 range ie 2000,3000,3500 were basically a quicker chipset as you move up and also the ... read more

    Nov 01 '00
Pros: Great movie quality, very smooth glide, performs almost as well as a 32 MB card
Cons: A little out of date since the 64 MB cards are out now

Summary: About a year ago I used to have this old ATI 8 MB card in my tower, it came with the PC, needless to say, it sucked... really bad. My friend bought some 32 meg card from NVidia and gave me his Voodoo 3. Boy was I happy when I saw the results. The ... read more
