Pros: Amazing Framerates Cons: Plain Demos
Summary: In the beginning, God said "Textures and high polygon counts are good"; Then he picked up a copy of Entertainment Weekly and forgot all about what's important in computer gaming (aside from gameplay, graphics) until 2,000 years later.

Pros: Fast, Good Game Support, 2000 Loves it! Cons: XP Support 'iffy' works sometimes, others it chooses not to.
Summary: I was in the market for a new card, my Linux box needed a nice ol Voodoo3 3000AGP and that meant my Windows box needed a new card. I went to the local CompUSA and this was on sale for $89.95 so I took the plunge. Hurclues has been around since the early ... read more

Pros: Apparently great tech reviews; great value (comes bundled with MystIII) Cons: The dreaded "I" word (Incompatibility issues)
Summary: A supposedly great new card, the Hercules Prophet 4500 64mb graphics card may not work on your computer. I know that this is the Prophet 34mb category, but this review is only to give some advance warning for those of us who want more 3D power for the ... read more

Pros: Good first gen GeForce card. Cons: Very heat sensitive board. Over use the card and it will suffer.
Summary: I got this card when the first GeForce 256 came out. For the first few weeks it functioned well. But then about a few months down the road problems started. The card turned out to be very heat sensitive (even with the on-board fan!) after 10 plus hours ... read more

Pros: Cheap $, Good video card. Actual drivers that work great. Cons: Hercules Tech Support.. what else. Only 32 MB.
Summary: I bought this GeForce256 32MB video card in Jan. '00. Excellent card at the time for $149! I am a GAMER! I pushed this card with all I had with my Athlon 600 MgHz & 256 MB RAM. The only problems in games I had was at HIGH resolution, 1024x768. Some what ... read more

Pros: Fast Card Cons: Newer cheaper cards are faster
Summary: I recently changed from a 3D Prophet DDR to a Creative Labs Annihilator 2 MX and I can't tell the difference. Of course the price was a BIG difference. I got the MX card for $140 and I paid almost $300 for the 3D Prophet DDR about a year ago. The frame ... read more

Pros: On a higher end computer, vastly improves graphics perfommance Cons: Has no effect on slower computers
Summary: My aging PII 233 just won't cut it anymore. Even at the lowest resolutions, new games all look god-awful, and my framerates are atrocious. In desperation, I bought the 3d prophet, and I see absolutely no difference in performance with any software. I ... read more

Pros: Price, performance, 32 meg memory, TV-out Cons: Not cheap, manual lacking, Bundle switch of XingDVD for PowerDVD in recent boxes
Summary: My machine is starting to show just a little bit of its age, and some of its purchase decisions which were PERFECT 16 months ago are starting to turn into thin ice and crack.
One of those great decisions was the Voodoo3 2000 PCI. The bargain ... read more

Pros: Cheap, reasonable speed Cons: Yesterdays tech
Summary: I bought a 3D Prophet SDR for 279 the day the arrived in Los Angeles. Heheheh. The Porphet has proven to be a very "solid" card. Because the Prophet uses fairly fast 5.5ns Ram, I was able to overclock it to 135/190. With the new 6.18 drivers, ... read more

Pros: Low Price - Full Graphics Pipeline Cons: Not the latest 3D accelerator
Summary: This card came to be mine in a funny way. I was helping a friend upgrade his computer. When the 3D Prophet came in, I discovered that his AGP video was built onto the motherboard. We had to order another card for him, but I didn't see any reason to ... read more

Pros: Absolutely screams! Framerates are through the roof Cons: Pricey, especially as an upgrade
Summary: As a college student, I am required to play computer games for a certain number of hours every day (23). I had been playing them on my laptop, and doing so successfully (see my review on the Dell Inspiron 7000), but I felt I was missing something. I ... read more

Pros: great card Cons: better one out there
