  • Oooh, Baby, You Really Push My Buttons

    Aug 25 '00
Pros: Easy to plug in, easy to set up and use
Cons: Power button won't work for older Macs, Command-Option-Power doesn't work from the USB on older Macs.

Summary: I've never been fond of the Macally product lines, as they've always looked *cheap* to me as I browse through the catalogs or wander down the aisles in various computer stores.

Then I had a chance to use the Macally iMediaKey on a friend's...

  • Nifty keyboard

    Jun 27 '00
Pros: Programmable buttons make all the difference!
Cons: Larger size / depth may be a problem for small desks; customer support is spotty

Summary: Let's face facts- Apple's default keyboard for both the G4 and the Imac are at best, mediocre. Many people want a nice, fullsize keyboard when they type. The iMedia delivers.

The layout is pretty much Apple standard, and the USB ports on...

  • Nice Keyboard

    May 16 '00
Pros: Comfort and 2 USB ports
Cons: Funny curve below the space bar

Summary: I bought my Macally IKey keyboard as a replacement for the standard PowerMac G4 keyboard. It was a wonderful investment and I can honestly say that it is one of the best keyboards that I have ever used.

It has wonderful features on it that...

  • Nice Extended Keyboard

    May 12 '00
    Pros: Plug-and-Play, Normal Size
    Cons: Greasy feel to shell

Summary: Anyone, who has bought a new Apple computer, whether it is the G4, G3 desktop, or iMac, knows that the included keyboard is rather cramped. This Macally keyboard is standard size, however. The normal size can bring great relief to people who are tired...

  • A quality replacement

    Jan 09 '00
    Pros: Solid construction, Standardized design
Cons: Takes up more space, USB Ports only average

    Summary: Doesn't this look familiar?

MacAlly was one of the first to come up with a good idea: "Hey, let's give Mac Users an alternative to that small, unimpressive iMac keyboard." Needless to say, it was a good one.
    We've all...

  • An excellent replacement keyboard

    Dec 17 '99
Pros: low price, standard layout, wider key spacing
Cons: cheaper materials/cruder look than Apple, large size

Summary: I bought this keyboard because my iMac's stock keyboard had finally given up the ghost. I was a bit skeptical as to whether I'd like the MacAlly replacement, but over the period of time I've had it (about a month) it has served its purpose quite...
