  • USB Hub not very impressive

    May 30 '00
Pros: works fine and looks fine
Cons: hard to sit flat on a surface

Summary: When I ventured into the big bad world of USB and left my security blanket called SCSI behind, I needed a USB hub to help organize all my peripherals. Basically a hub is a piece of plastic that condenses several wires into one. You plug a bunch of things ... read more

  • Make a Stopover at the USB Hub - the BUSlink USB Hub

    May 28 '01
Pros: Auto-installs, cost is about equal to a longer USB cable, stackable
Cons: Minor - would be neater if cables exited from the rear

Summary: Give me one, I'll give you three. That is how the BUSlink USB Hub works. You connect the Hub to one USB (Universal Serial Bus) port on your PC using the supplied 6 foot detachable USB cable and it now provides desktop access to 4 USB ports, or a ... read more

  • Belkin USB Hub Station

    Mar 22 '01
Pros: A great device to handle many USB peripherals. Tremendous versatility.
Cons: It cost $80, but that includes a power supply.

Summary: Like most PC users, I get somewhat apprehensive about opening the computer case to add new peripherals. Being a gadget person by nature, I just can't resist finding new devices to add to my PC. Such is the nature of my dilemma. Fortunately, technology ... read more

  • Belkin 4-port USB Hub Rules

    Nov 23 '00
Pros: Inexpensive, lifetime warranty, crackerjack easy install, 4-ports at 12 MBps, small, lightweight, convenient on-board USB cable storage, low current drain (max 500mA)
    Cons: Short built-in USB cable

Summary: Epinions does not have a category for this Belkin product, and is presently not adding new products. Belkin makes more of the best peripherals and connectors than any other manufacturer. Everything they make in this category comes with a lifetime ... read more

  • HUBBA HUBBA!!

    Aug 20 '00
    Pros: It works! Fast connections!
Cons: Was not fast enough to recognize my graphic tablet (but that could be a different problem, unrelated to the HUB, for all I know).

Summary: I knew that I had to have extra USB ports when I made my new computer purchase! After all, I was now looking at owning a new printer, a scanner, and a zip drive. There was no question in my mind that I needed more ports since I knew that my ... read more

  • Too many toys? Expand ;-)

    May 21 '00
    Pros: Affordible, Good Website
Cons: AMD Owners need to upgrade USB support.
