Pros: good quality pictures from external video source Cons: additional hardware needed to complete installation, Adobe Software version listed was not included
Summary: I confess, I'm a General Hospital junkie. What does that have to do with this? It's what led me to purchase a Snappy. In my egroups, a few of the other listers have these little devices that they use primarily to create pictures or screen ... read more

Pros: Better than having a digital camera Cons: You may need other peripherals
Summary: I've had Snappy for 4 yrs, and I still use it(version 3.0). I paid $99 and it came with (amongst other programs) Photodeluxe 2.0, which I also still use. Granted, it's not Photoshop (yes, I have that too) but it's easy to use and can be used to edit ... read more

Pros: none Cons: poor quality pictures, difficult install
Summary: After reading all the rave reviews, I got v3.0 Deluxe last year. First problem, it requires a dedicated parallel port: I didn't feel like unplugging my printer every time I wanted to use snappy, and the laser printer I have isn't happy with switchboxes. ... read more

Pros: Great image quality, easy to install Cons: Poor user interface, battery problems
Summary: I tried Snappy Video Snapshot a couple of years ago (version 3.0), and now that $100 unit is sitting on my shelf collecting dust. It could have been a great product, but there were just too many annoying problems that prevented it from truly being worth ... read more

Pros: lots of added features, convenient, great analog & digital video captures, organizational software, Adobe Photodeluxe Cons: hardware unchanged, another $169.95 for just a software upgrade unless they make the software available separately for a reasonable price, weird uninstall for this and previous version
Summary: I wrote a review of Snappy 3.0 in this category, but obtained a copy of the latest, Snappy 4.0. Read my Snappy 3.0 review for some background on the program itself. Snappy 4.0 is a software only upgrade, so you will not need new hardware if you already ... read more
