Pros: Many options and features. Cons: Havent found one yet.
Summary: I haven’t had to buy a new motherboard separate from a new system for about two years before I bought this one last September. I thought there would have been huge advancements, but not really for the power and price range I was looking for. I needed a ... read more

Pros: Overall Performance and the ability to Overclock. Cons: Doesn't seem to like Windows 98. Some boards have USB Port problems.
Summary: Until our unfortunate house fire where we lost the 3 computers I had built with Soyo Motherboards, which I liked a lot, I had never tried an Asus Motherboard. My wife and I at that time had Slot 1 CPU's. We decided to upgrade Socket 370 PIII Chips. ... read more

Pros: Stability, overclocking (both RAM and processor), AGP 4X, ATA 100, PC 133RAM, 2 USB ports... Cons: Maximum 512MB RAM memory, lack of COM2 port
Summary: This is one of the first motherboards with an Intel 815EP chipset. It is basically almost the same as the ASUS CUSL2 Intel 815E chipset, except the ASUS CUSL2-C doesn't have integrated graphics or sound card, which is in my opinion much better, as you ... read more

Pros: stable, 133FSB, USB Cons: onboard stuff
Summary: When I picked this board up, I was wondering why asus would stoop to the level of onboard sound/video. The onboard stuff sucks but there was no conflicts when installing 3rd party sound/video and it has saved me when I burned out my GeForce.

Pros: solid and fast; decent built-in video; good expansion Cons: pricey
Summary: I wanted a solid, fast system. Having been happy with other ASUS boards I've owned, the obvious choice seemed to be ASUS's new i815E based motherboard, the CUSL2. I have not been disappointed. With a PIII-800 and plenty of RAM, the system is ... read more

Pros: Flexibility, overclocking, stability Cons: Price, 512MB max memory
Summary: I've been building systems since the mid 80's, and had more recently settled on using the FIC 503+ and PAG2130 with various AMD K6-2 CPUs for their value. I looked long and hard when I decided to make the move to a Pentium III based motherboard, and I ... read more

Pros: Fast, great I/O features. Cons: Expensive, has some quirks.
Summary: Edited 12-11-2000. With the rather disappointing debut of the Pentium 4, I have removed my caution about waiting for the next generation of technology and upped the rating to five stars. The price is still high, the technology is now outdated and this ... read more
