Electronic Heaven K7V & K7V-T

by artic00cat Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 1000, Nov 19 '00
Pros: AGP 4X , 4 USB ports , up to 1.5gb of ram, KX133
Cons: a little large, and no ISA slots
***NOTE*** there is now a K7V-T that supports Thunderbird processors in the slotA format. Other than the processor support there is no difference between the two boards. My Thunderbird 900mhz slotA however did not work on my K7V only the K7V-T.

Asus All the Way

by lilbigblue , Dec 26 '00
Pros: Easy to setup, No hassles, Great product
Cons: A little on the pricey side
I have had a Dell Computer for several years now (uses an Intel Motherboard). After 6 months, the onboard sound died. Next, the Keyboard connection died. And lately my printer has been losing it's connectivity with my computer. These were all sure...

Great Board!

by GI_Joe , Sep 27 '00
Pros: Lots of cool options, GREAT expandability, Fast, reliable. Its an ASUS!
Cons: It is already discontinued...The A7V is better
I bought the K7V because it was time to upgrade my previous hardware. I previously had a Soltek motherboard, and had maxed the CPU with the AMD K6-2 550Mhz. My PC was starting to act up, I believe due to the fact Windows was nearing 8months, in...

This board just doesn't like me...

by kurt_h Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 1000, Sep 03 '00
Pros: Great manuals, easy to configure
Cons: BIOS flashing is an iffy proposition
I love Asus products! Really!! I love the Asus P-65UP5-CPKND dual PII processor board that I purchased a number of years ago and it is still doing very useful duty as my backup machine. And when the time came to upgrade to a new machine I went...

Fast and Stable Athlon Motherboard

by phatbhuda , Aug 30 '00
Pros: Fast, reliable, not too expensive
Cons: It's not the cheapest, lacks full overclocking suite
When I decided to put together an Athlon system, I did a lot of research. Most importantly, I wanted a good motherboard. Many people try to save money on their motherboards and buy the cheapest they can find. This is just plain silly, considering that...

No Problems

by Xorg Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 1000, Oct 25 '00
Pros: Rock Solid Stability
Cons: Beware Thunderbird Athlons!
This motherboard has been rock solid for over a year now. No complaints, the jumperless BIOS is outstanding! Only item to be aware of is that the newer Thunderbird Slot A processors won't work in this one, you need a newer K7V-T model with the KT133...

An excellent board

by MoOsEb0y , Nov 23 '00
Pros: Great quality board with everything needed
Cons: -
I got this board, because for $76 it was an absolute steal. While it was missing onboard sound, I didn't really care because I already had a sound card on hand. The quality of the board is quite good. I also particularily liked the ATX form factor...
