by mgoto , Dec 19 '00
Pros: flexibility, rock solid performance, easy access to components, nice option to automatically power-up with using a power-strip.
Cons: a few installation hick-ups; no overclocking features; only 1 isa slot.
Last spring (spring 2000), I started looking for an upgrade over my old Tyan Tsunami ATX motherboard. Of course one of the first places that I looked was to newer Tyan motherboards such as the Trinity 400. As I had a slot 1 P-II processor and PC 100...

Cons: System MUST BE UNPLUGGED when inserting memory.
This is first motherboard I bought in two years. My Abit BH6 was getting long in the tooth even though I think it's still the best BX motherboard you can buy. I did some research on which motherboard I should buy. Hmmmm, Let me see......I need to have...

Nice Board!

by Joe_R , Dec 07 '00
Pros: Extremely Flexible, Easy Setup
Cons: None.
I just put a system together with the Trinity 400 board, and I'm happy to say that everything just went together easily and it came up without a hitch. I decided on this MB because it had the dual processor sockets. At the time I was looking for the...

Smart design, good quality

by shawnw , Dec 08 '00
Pros: Flexible, expandable, inexpensive
Cons: ISA slot shortage
I have used a wide variety of motherboards that are out there, and this motherboard is one of my favorites. I purchased the Trinity 400 because I have had good success with Tyan motherboards in the past. Socket 370 and slot 1 forms on one board coupled...

by LetItRut Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 1000, Mar 18 '02
Pros: AGP 4X, Slot 1 and Socket 370 connectors (but see Cons)
Cons: Slow performance, can't use both Slot 1 and Socket 370 processors simultaneously
I had been running a 700MHz Slot 1 Pentium III processor on my Asus P3B-F motherboard for nearly a year, until I decided to upgrade my video card (from a GeForce 256 DDR card to a Radeon 64MB DDR VIVO card) that requires AGP 2.0 support; the BX chipset...

Pros: good price
Cons: compatibility problems
I bought this motherboard a few months ago when I was building a system for a friend of mine. I had never had any problems with the Tyan brand and figured that the motherboard was a good value for the price. Once I got the system together I began have...
