Pros: Light, sturdy, and easy to use. As stylish and slick as Sony Vaios. Cons: External drives could be annoying, basic battery life unimpressive
The Dell Inspiron 2100 is Dell Computer’s first foray into the consumer ultra-portable market. At a mere 2.5 cm thick and a featherweight 1.54 kg (3.4 lbs), the Inspiron 2100 challenges both the Apple Powerbook G4 and the Sony Vaio for the title of most...

Pros: Size, Durability, and Quality Cons: External Ports and not the fastest machine available
I'm not going to give you all the specs and hardcore numbers on this machine because you can easily find that out from Dell or other reviews. Instead I want to highlight why this laptop has been absolutely perfect for everything I could ever want...

Pros: Light, small and adorable; blazingly fast; beautiful screen; nice keyboard and touchpad Cons: Smallish screen, case gets very hot sometimes, battery life could be longer, weird external devices
Configured 700mhz PIII, 12.1inch screen, 256mb RAM, 20gig HD, modem/ethernet, external cdrw, 3yr warranty, $2200
One quick note before I begin: Dell's tech support is generally great, especially if you have damaged/missing items, but it's not...

Pros: power of a large portable Cons: costly to add on options
The dell 2100 is a 1 inch thick 3.5 pound laptop. It has allot of power in a magnesium alloy case. The base price is $1899 and it has a 700 MHz Pentium III processor, a 5GB hard drive, 64 MB of RAM, a 12.1 inch 1024 by 768 matrix screen.

Pros: Ultralight and ultraportable. Stylish, and with a great keyboard. Great power in a small chassis Cons: No stereo, only a mono speaker. Not suitable for playing intense graphics games.
To me, the Dell Inspiron 2100 was a great buy as it only cost me S$3150 (US$1731.65).
My unit came with 128RAM, 10GB HDD and with a CD-RW. I would say it was quite a bargain.
It was well within my budget for a ultraportable. The...

Pros: Thin, Portable, Light, Stylish, Reliable, Fast Cons: Cost of add-ons, gets really warm, Battery life could be longer
My life revolves around PC's and i could not survive without my Dell. It is really thin and comes in a stylish grey colour, very formal. This PC, although it doesn't look like much holds a pentium 3 700 MHZ and has 128 megabytes of ram. It's screen i...
