Pros: Great system, super fast, GREAT gaming Cons: Slightly heavy, Some common errors
Well, I am sitting at my Dell Inspiron 8000 right now with its beautiful 1600X1200 32-bit color resolution. I'll point out one minor downfall right from the start, though... if you try to switch to anything lower than 1600X1200, the screen loses a LOT...

Pros: Nice standard features and technical support. Cons: none
First off, the reason I chose to purchase the laptop was because I needed it for college. In the purchasing process, their online store was very nice. I could simply customize the system how I wanted it; I made several configurations. As the looking...

Pros: Great screen; fast; lots of features Cons: Poor quality; serious hardware problems; poor technical support; heavy
I have owned this laptop for about three months. When it 's functioning normally, it's an excellent computer, albeit very heavy. However, the serious hardware problems I've had with the machine mean that I'll never buy a Dell laptop again; if I was...

Pros: Great performance at a reasonable price. Dual Optical drive support is fantastic. Cons: Technical Support often recommends unnecessary system format/reinstalls.
The Dell Inspiron 8000 is one of the strongest contenders for desktop replacement. This system supports all of the latest technology, including built-in FireWire port. This laptop is the first of its class to offer simultaneous dual optical drive...

Pros: Virtually a mobile desktop. Can be customized to any extent. Great graphics and great sound. Cons: It's HUGE! It weighs 6.84 pounds and is 1.6 inches thick!
The Dell Inspiron 8000 is the perfect desktop replacement and the largest one of it's kind, literally. This computer is great for high-performance applications, multimedia, digital audio and video, versatility, and the need-for-speed which we all desire....

Pros: Space saver, thats about it. Cons: Won't last long, has major problems with time, garbage!
A year back I wrote a ranting and raving wonderful review on my dell inspiron series 8000. I gave her the 2 thumbs up, the 10 stars, the whole ancholatta. Yet here I am a year and 3 months later telling the lifelong story of this s called desktop in ...

Pros: sexy... powerhouse... Cons: heavy... 2 hour battery...
I can not say enough positive comments about this mobile pc. I love the design... subtle, stealth, and cozy... like a pillow. Though, most people say the sony vaio computers are the sexy 'windows' machines, I happen to think they look cheep and toy like....

Pros: Incredible screen. 32 megs of video ram, s-video out. Three spindle design Cons: Those stupid color panel inserts.
The Dell 8000 has one of the best screens on the market. Only IBM comes close. The native resolution of 1400x1100 along with 32 megs of video ram finally makes CAD and 3D design on a laptop possible. The three spindle design is great. With this...

Pros: Solid design (dropped it once already, and it held), FIRE WIRE CONNECTION YEAH! Cons: keyboard not very comfortable, USB not fool proof (as usual)
I bought the Inspiron 8000 to work between my office and home. It was to be used for database and web projects, as well as the occasional game of Sim City 3000. It had to be versatile enough to change from video editor for my digital camcorder, to...

Pros: It's fast, big screen Cons: NO USB SUPPORT!
I thought this was the best notebook out there. All of my software worked great and it was fast. However there are two major flaws.
1) 802.11b internal networking isn't shipping anymore. Dell said they found a "glitch" in the mini-PCI...

Pros: fast, state of the art hardware, modular design, wide choice of ports. Cons: creaky case, faulty modem/ethernet card, weak sound system
On the bright side :
815EM mother board makes this notebook state of the art. No other manufacturer in the market uses this board which literally makes them obsolete in comparison.
Thanks to the 815EM, the I8000 is filled with all types...

Pros: Fast, cheap, good looking. Feels like a desktop Cons: quality of speakers is average, keys should go a little deeper for better typing feel.
I ordered my Dell Inspiron 8000 just before the end of the first quarter and got a really good deal -
1 GHZ Pentium III
15" SXGA+ (1400*1050) TFT display
32MB ATI Mobility M4 graphics card (similar to NVidia TNT2)
64MB RAM...

Pros: Not a laptop, but a mobile desktop. Everything you need. Cons: HUGE! heavy, and cant play dolby digital with win 2000. Expensive after all the addons.
My friend has this one, actually he had the dell 7500 but that got screwed up only after a few months, they took months to send in a guy, and when he came to fix it, he didnt have a clue to what he was doing and made it worse. Then finally a few more...
