Pros: Fast, nice screen Cons: Fragile CD-ROM drive mechanics, Windoze 95
I have one of these units for work - the work environment
is about 25% travel and 75% work at home. I keep the
DVD dock at home.
This Toshiba is a lot lighter, has a better screen, and runs
faster than the Tecra 520CDT that...

Pros: Very stable, Fast, Light, Looks cool Cons: Only comes with 64MB std., shorter battery life, expensive accesories
I have been using my Portege for almost a year now, and I can honestly say that it is truly an amazing computer. The stability of the system is one of the best aspects of the computer. Toshiba really deserves credit for configuring a top-notch NT 4...

Pros: Lightweight Cons: Over heats poor ventilation
My entire sales force of a thousand plus had been given the Toshiba Portege 7020s. At first everyone was elated with the new sleek lightweight machines. It did not take long for the guys and gals to lose "that loving feeling." The lightweight sleek...

Pros: Size, screen, performance, durability Cons: Docking dongle, price, price
I've owned four Toshiba laptops and this is the best one yet. Light, super usable, great screen and good performance for a PII.
People who should buy this (or later Portege 7000 series models) want the light weight of a sub-notebook but not...

Pros: The size and the weight Cons: Instability, Frequent hardware and software crashes, noise, the battery life span.
I bought the laptop for work, and home use. As a truck driver I found out right at the first the battery life span was to short, in 2 to 3 hours it was dead. And no use to me, so I had to buy a car adaptor and keep it plugged in and throw the battery...

Great Laptop-Poor Features
by mayhew118 ,Aug 09 '04
Pros: Fast, big screen, big HDD. Cons: More money needs to be spent on it
I bought the portege 7020 a week ago and I thought that would be the end of it. But then i had to buy a docking station as well which was not the cheapest thing. I thought though that it was great the because the spec was
366mhz Pentium 2
128mb of SDRAM
12.1 inch screen
Modem
6gb hard disk
This was great because it ran any mainframe task i threw at it. I think the laptop is the best one ive had.
