Pros: Affordable, fast USB syncing, Springboard module (upgrade your memory, add a modem, digital camera, etc.), The 'V' is easier on the Visor. Comes with a slip case. Cons: Didn't create a pass-thru module option (only one module at a time). Manual was brief and offered no information on how to add programs. Syncing your software (with any Palm OS), does NOT backup everything!
A little background story might help clarify why anyone would want a PDA (especially the Visor Deluxe) in the first place.
I had a choice to make this year, should I continue to buy new inserts for my Day Runner, should I just buy a new Day...

Pros: expandability Cons: IR port on side is awkard position for it
I own both a Palm V and Handspring Visor Deluxe and I'm quite happy with both of them. As far as software goes, they're identical, so 'nuff said. I love the idea of expanding the Visor, but to date nothing interesting has come out for it, so I can't...

Pros: Great Value, Great PDA, Great Features Cons: Could stand to have an upgraded screen
I had a Palm Professional with the memory/IR upgrade and loved it (it was my first PDA - you always think fondly of your first love). It suffered a major meltdown 18 months ago. I knew I need to upgrade and began to save some money and search for what I...

Pros: Great deal for the price, easy to use, colorful, nice stylus. Cons: Very fragile, a not very stylish shape, constant battery changing.
Since both Visor and Palm use the Palm OS and are able to share most programs, that shouldn't be a worry when determining which one to get.
I did as much research as I could when trying to decide. Unfortunately at the time I had no idea that...

Pros: Not too large, even a non-technie can figure this one out Cons: Pretty basic, non color, alarms aren't loud enough (even in loudest setting)
This true story starts about 3 weeks before my birthday. I would be Tracy and my hubby is a network administrator, a techie junkie. My hubby asks me, "why don't I get you a PDA for your birthday?" My reply? What in the world does a HOUSEWIFE need...

Pros: Powerful, expandable, best deal around Cons: no probs yet, but it has frozen a couple of times
So far, I love my visor. I have used it to totally organize my life. Everything from scheduling and addresses to copies of my notes for school ( I'm in medical school so I have almost a meg of notes just for my next test), and abbreviated medical...

Pros: price, ease of use, and expandability Cons: still the new kid on the block
I purchased this product in October 1999, when it was first introduced to the market. I was looking for a Palm and decided the would probably be the best thing for me. Visor's springboard expansion slot ensures that two weeks after buying this item you...

Pros: keeps all of my information in one place, many software programs available, potential of expandability with the Springboard modules Cons: user's manual is not available in paper form, Springboard modules seem kind of expensive, doesn't seem as solidly built as comparable Palm products
During college, my life was pretty simple. I had the same basic schedule every week, and all of my friends lived in the same town as I did. It was easy to remember where I had to be and when, and whenever I needed to find somebody, I could just go to...

Pros: Modules, Memory, USB, Style, Best of old and new. Cons: Cover could be better, more modules should be out by now.
I've been through almost all of the Palm OS PDA's and the Handspring Visor Deluxe is my favorite so far. I bought mine expecting nothing more than the extra memory (8megs) and the slot in the back. What I've found is the folks at Handspring have taken...

Pros: More memory, clear screen, and potential Cons: The plastic cover is annoying
I'm already an owner of a Palm III; in which I think is a fantastic product. I heard the makers of the Palm Pilot had started their own company, and after reading a few articles about it I had to own one. The order was placed over the phone, and the...

Pros: Cost, Look, Light Weight, Compatible Cons: Stylus Scratches the screen.
I got my 2 MB Visor about a month ago. Everyone else has a Palm. I'm the only one in my engineering school with the Visor and I feel kind of childish, because I feel like the first kid who had Nintendo while the others still played Atari. I keep...

Pros: everything, and it's blue, too! Cons: is 8 meg of memory a bad thing when the rest have only 2?
I have had my Visor Deluxe since Christmas, and I love it. My Mother has a Palm III, and she plans to buy a Visor as soon as she can. One of the better things about the Visor is that it is so easy to use. I haven't read the instructions, but if I did...

Pros: inexpensive, convenient, room to grow Cons: same size as a pilot
I purchased a clear Handspring Visor Deluxe via telephone, since the e-commerce site at handspring.com was not yet functioning. This model comes with 8MB of RAM, which is 4 times what most Palm Pilots include. That's a lot of space - I was a pretty...

Pros: Price, Expansion with memory and modules, the best thing since sliced bread Cons: Some modules are still pricy, questions of upgrade-ability of Palm OS
Now this is a beautiful machine. Not just for its outer beauty, coming in 5 colors including ice, blue, and the ever-popular black, but also for its inner capabilities and the promising future that lies before it. The Handspring Visor Deluxe has been...
