Pros: light, easy to use Cons: interfered with my modem
After my day planner, which I had and loved since high school, became a bit too heavy and unwieldy to carry around on a daily basis, I decided perhaps I should delve into the technological world and get a snappy PDA. I knew a bit about Palms, a little...

Pros: Palm OS, Expandibility, Rugged Design, Springboard Modules Cons: A Bit Bulky, Simplistic Styling, Expensive Modules
As a web application developer, I don't have much time or interest in playing with electronic devices. I come home and have little desire to sit behind the computer (again). But, one year ago, as a graduation gift I received a Palm III from my parents....

Pros: Features, springboard slot, memory, price, options Cons: Size, screen, springboard slot, battery life
The Handspring line of PDA's jumped on the market over a year ago. As a charter bandwagoner, I have a lot of hindsight now, as I look back on my past usage of the Visor Deluxe and the associated Springboard Modules.
The Visor comes in five...

Pros: Small, Backlight is great, Good Games, Easy Setup Cons: So-so battery life (about 22 hours off of 2 AAA batteries)
I recently purchased a Handspring Visor Deluxe. The only real differentiation from the one pictured is that it is a translucent blue color, but it's specs and functions are still exactly similar. I bought this originally just as something that I could...

Pros: Cost, expansion, calendar. Cons: Size.
A better and cheaper alternative to the Palm III - the Handspring Visor Deluxe. Expansion slot for new applications, only $249.00, better calendar view options and uses the Palm O/S. The new calendar view options allow weekly and annual views with the...

Pros: Plenty of memory, physically well designed, easy to use Cons: Eats batteries, very delicate screen, crashes unexpectedly
The Handspring Visor Deluxe Handheld is my 5th PDA, starting all the way back with a Wizard before the Palm OS had even been invented. PDAs in general have been getting better and better over time, and overall this one is my favorite.
You...

Pros: Price Cons: Cheap plastic case, Screen, Bulky Size
As a Visor user (until recently) for more than year, I was excited about my first hand-held device. After reading all the rave reviews, I considered it the best-bang for the buck and jump on the Handspring wagon. I was oversold on the fact that it had an...

Pros: price, colors, cool Cons: no distributors in Brazil
I spent many hours reading epinions to figure out what PDA to buy. Some friends of mine had just bought the Palm V, which I thought that was very expensive. It costs about Us$700,00 here in Brazil.
When my brother decided to travel to the...

Pros: Inexpensive, 8 MB memory, fast USB cradle Cons: Infrared port is on side, Palm OS not upgradable
I found this Visor Deluxe on sale for $109 at the local Staples; it was a display model but was in perfect condition and came with all accessories.
It comes with 8 mb of memory, which is the same amount as many of the more expensive models....

Pros: Affordable price, Palm OS compatibility. Cons: None.
Not only does this baby do all that a Palm Pilot can, it had the expansion bay to add accessories without hassle! Add to it, the choice of color, you've got the Apple of PDA's.
The convenience of downloading all the programs that run on a...

Pros: expandability, practicality Cons: can't think of any
I have had my Handspring Visor Deluxe for about a month now and absolutely LOVE it!!!!!! I have friends who have Palm products and I think that the expandability makes this a far better product. It is quite affordable for what it gives - it runs about...

Pros: Easy to use, easy to set up Cons: Graphics a bit old, I soft-reset with Windows 2000 often
I have been using my Visor Deluxe for about 16 months now and find it indispensable. With the handy USB cradle, I use Outlook 2000 to sync my calendar using the pre-installed DateBook software with no complaints. I use the notepad feature often for...

Pros: Good Product, Expandability Cons: Terrible service/bait and switch on compatibility with system
I just received my Visor Deluxe, and struggled to get it to HotSync, followed all the instructions for troubleshooting, and finally called Tech Support.
Turns out that Windows NT doesn't support USB cradles, which I wasn't aware of--the sales...

Pros: 8 mb of ram, slim, incorporates palm OS Cons: NONE
I was not someone who purchased the Visor Deluxe so that I could run a variety of complicated computer programs...I simply wanted something that would replace my paper planner system. The problem was that for years I was a very right-brained planner...
