Pros: User friendly, lots of applications, 8m memory Cons: AAA batteries?!?!?!? dumb idea
Yes, this was my valentine's gift....as we were planning our wedding and believe me it came in handy.
I had compared the Visor with Palm and liked the Visor better, the people I knew who had the Visor Deluxe liked it. It comes with the basic...

Pros: Colored face plates, Expansion module slots, AAA batteries for when you're on the go Cons: a little thick
What an amazing little piece of technology this Visor Deluxe is. Of course, it works the same way a Palm does, but Handspring gives you more stuff for approximately the same price as a Palm IIIxe.
Both machines have 8mb of memory (way too...

Pros: see above: memory, ease of expansion, USB connection Cons: colors besides black a bit hokey. expansion options still are few.
Only a PalmOS device could really top the Palm series, and the Visor Deluxe does just that. It's a better purchase the Palm (of which I am a major fan) for several reasons:
Price: Better memory and features than the IIIx and not much more...

Pros: Price, screen clarity, 8 MB of RAM Cons: No SpringBoard Modules YET
The Good:
Before I ordered my visor, I looked around at ALL of the available PDAs. I found that for the money, you can't go wrong. For only $249, you get 8 MB of RAM!
The clarity of the screen is incredible, in both light and dark (The...

Pros: Reliability, general compatibility, economical, stylish. Cons: Once in a blue moon, I'll find a Palm program that's not compatible.
Purchasing a Handspring Visor Deluxe was my first foray into the PDA world and I must say that I am not the least bit disappointed. With the minor exception of having downloaded a corrupt DOC file -- once -- which caused a not-so-serious crash, my Visor...

Pros: great handheld comp, for writeing things and stuff. Cons: not as good as PP and almost same price.
In accordance to the Palm Pilot and the Handspring Visor, there are a lot of differences. By far the Palm Pilot is better the the Handspring. But if you don't have enough money for the Palm Pilot (about $500) then you should buy the Handspring (about...

Pros: good price, 8MB of memory, reliable Cons: the colors don't look too professional- but I like em!
I am afraid and embarrassed to admit my stupidity. I purchased a Palm V, not the Vx, the 2MB Palm V, for $370, a few DAYS later, this device came out; the Handspring Visor Deluxe.
Value: I love my Palm V, only problem, it was expensive- and...

Pros: Expandability Cons: Same processor a palm products
As a long time user of the palm platform, originally I thought that the creators of the palm were crazy when they decided to leave Palm Computing to start Handspring. That changed the day I got my Visor Deluxe in the mail. I think I bought the Visor...

Pros: compact size, lots o' RAM and fast speed Cons: poor case, lousy stylus
After researching palm type handhelds for several weeks, I decided I was able to wait the six to eight weeks and ordered a Visor Deluxe on the day after Christmas. Just under two weeks later, it arrived at my office! That's pretty quick considering the...

Pros: Price, data storage Cons: support services, lack of Flash ROM capability
If your in the market for a PDA, you can't beat the visor. Working on the Palm OS platform, visor offers all the compatibility you get with Palm computing at a substantial savings over Palm brand products. Plus, visor deluxe comes standard with 8Megs...

Pros: Runs Palm OS software. Great customer service. Indestructible. Cons: Quirky replacements.
I have owned my Handspring now for over a year. In that time I have taken it around the world. Thrown it in the back of trucks, sat on it. Dropped it. Used it for everything from referencing medical information to translating French to English. It has...

Pros: The best PDA on the market Cons: Tech and customer support not great yet
The Handspring Visor Deluxe is great! I've never been so well organized so easily--had a Palm--there is no comparison. Handspring HAS built a better mousetrap.
There have been some problems with technical service and customers service that I feel...

Pros: Springboard port, lots of memory, colors Cons: Not available in red!(doh!), Uses more batteries (get rechargables)
I always liked the concept of a portable pc or handheld pc. I never wanted to spend $2000 or more on a laptop computer, or even the $500 some of the high-end Palm's cost.
Along comes HandSpring with their Visor Deluxe. For $249, I had a...

Pros: adaptability Cons: Graffiti
Whoops, I accidentally stepped on my PalmPilot III cracking the screen into a gazillian pieces.
I concluded it was time to buy Handspring’s Visor Deluxe after what I need to admit was satisfaction with my two previous Pilots.
My Visor arrived...

Pros: Speed, storage space, stylus, buttons Cons: non-upgradable os, some synching problems, worrying about losing it.
I've been wanting a PDA for several years now. I remember trying to jumble my finances in my head to see if I could afford the Casio Y0-310 of about 6 years ago. The answer then was no, but the answer to Handspring was yes.
I haven't...
