Pros: lightweight, easy to use, lots of memory, endless possibilities with the expansion slot, 5 great colors Cons: waiting for the applications for the expansion slot
Last Christmas I was very excited when I opened up a box to find the brand new Palm VII. I was happily using it for about a week when a co-worker told me about a new company called Handspring and their new product the Visor. Being a gadget freak and...

Pros: Full Palm OS functionality and compatability; Good price; Extra memory and protection against damage. Cons: None detected yet.
As a user of the original Palm Pilot and, after it had been lost, the Palm III, I was devastated when I managed to lose the Palm III. After considerable checking, I decided to replace it with a Handspring Visor Deluxe. Though I've only had it...

Pros: Easy to use, Uses PalmOS Cons: None
Handspring, a company founded by those who introduced the Palm product, will never be able to claim that they invented the PDA, or that they even forced it on the American Public. Rather, they will be able to say that they made an existing product...

Pros: price, Springboard Cons: I don't have one (yet)
I love gadgets. Anything cool looking filled with circuitry, I probably like. Like the Palm Pilot. I have no practical use for one, but I want one. But now? Palm may have to rethink their strategy, because they're being beaten at their own game, by one...

Pros: A bargain when compared with the Palm Cons: 4.8" x 3.0" x 0.7" size is a bit large compared to a Palm 5
What a neat machine! Received my ice (white) Visor a couple of days ago, 7 days after ordering it from Handspring's website (http://www.handspring.com/), even though they told me it would be four weeks. Perhaps the ice color is less popular than the...

Pros: Great Device at a better price Cons: Long wait to speak to tech support and to get one.
The main problem with the Handspring is you cannot get one. Right now demand is far more than supply and you have to wait 6 weeks after you order to get a Handspring. It is a great looking device and it has added some nice features to the Palm Platform...

Pros: all the joys of the industry standard palm-os, springboard expansion modules, awesome prices, funky colors (if your into that sort of thing) Cons: small but audible hum with backlight on, not as slim as many palm models, minor concerns about screen construction
My Visor Deluxe has done wonders for me and, aside from a few minor concerns, works flawlessly. First off, You should know that I did not buy mine via there website, I chose to buy mine retail (via the store I work at) thus saving the hassle that others...

Pros: Light, Easy-to-Use Cons: Drains Batteries fast, Can be cumbersome in the case it comes with
About three months ago, I had enough money saved up to buy my very own PDA. I made my trip to Comp USA, and after talking to some people and reading some opinions, I decided on this Handspring Visor Deluxe.
The pre-installed applications that...

Pros: 8megs, expansion slot, USB cradle, Mac Support Cons: Many modules do not support Macs. Backlight is weak
After searching for over a month, going from CompUSA to Staples, and from Staples to the Web and back again, I finally made up my mind. Without a doubt the Handspring would become my next "must have" gadget.
I had previously owned a...

Pros: Increasingly expandable, USB hot sync, medium price, AAA batteries easy to find Cons: Not as fast as I would like, springboard modules are kind of pricey, limited usefulness of 8 MB expansions module, external keyboard lag, applications not backed up during a normal hot sync
I purchased the Handspring Visor Deluxe because of the expandability via the the Springboard slot, the 8 MB of memory, the USB sync cradle, and the reasonable cost of $250. I purchased the Physician's Desk Reference springboard module and the Thincom...

Pros: Expandability Cons: size
I found the idea behind the Visor great. The idea that you will eventually be able to interchange different "cartridges", I think otherwise known as spring boards, such as GPS, a pager, digital camerea, a Tiger Woods Golf game, etc. definitely...

Pros: Great and useful gadgets. Turn your visor into something else! Cons: Can be a bit pricey
I was lucky to attend Internet World '99 a couple of months back. Handspring had a huge display, with Visor developers manning stations for their product. Finding information about the different types of Springboard modules (video game like cartridges...

Pros: Small - sleek - well constructed Cons: No color LCD available
People ask me what's in that black leather case hanging from my belt? I tell them that's my brain. Sounds crazy, doesn't it? That's what happens though when you become dependant upon your PDA the way that I've become dependant upon my Visor...
