Pros: Great screen, great battery life, excellent keyboard, cool design Cons: Heavy, strange serial connection, hard to reach CF Card Slot, slow modem, only 16MB RAM
Summary: Sharp PV-6000 "TriPad" (with Windows CE 2.11 Handheld Professional Edition) is a very unique product among all PDAs/HPCs. Its innovative design of flipping screen catches people's attention in your office, at airports or in conference rooms. I want to ... read more

Pros: Instant on, large touch screen and keyboard. Size and durability. Cons: Interface with MS products is not so great. Some key freezing on occaision.
Summary: I have been using the Tripad for about 2 years now to take daily patient notes in my Chiropractic office. It has performed just fine. I use Visual CE and synch to MS Acess at the end of the day then print out the notes from there. It makes the notes ... read more

Pros: cute, nice large touch screen Cons: SLOW, expensive, keyboard is strange, no apps
Summary: I admit I am a fan of Windows CE. I like the instant on, long battery life and light weight. Nothing is perfect, and the early machines (this being one of them) just don't have what it takes. I bought this unit hoping to use it as a wireless web ... read more

Pros: Almost full sized keyboard, tablet mode, Pocket Office Cons: Serial Port sync, slower processor
Summary: A co-worker of mine had the Tripod which sparked my interest in it. I found it at a discounted price and decided to purchase it over a PDA or Palm CE device.
The discerning factor was the almost-full sized keyboard and tablet mode. This ... read more

Pros: more features than a standard PDA Cons: not a laptop which it resembles
Summary: I have seen reviews (not here) that complain about how limited this is. However, they are try do things that you really need a laptop for. This is a handheld computer that does what the others such as palm, visor, etc. do, but has a much larger screen ... read more

Pros: Keyboard, large screen full color, internal modem Cons: larger than most HPC's and heavier

Pros: Excellent size and weight, Excellent memory capacity, Excellent price vs utility for writers, Excellent battery life Cons: No floppy drive, No word count feature, Poor spell checker.
Summary: This is one enormous PDA. The screen and keyboard size compare favorably with laptop computers and while it lacks the computing horsepower of a laptop and the compactness of a true PDA, the Tripad caters to typing intensive tasks formerly handled by its ... read more

Pros: Large screen and keyboard, light weight Cons: Windows CE
Summary: I picked this unit up for $350 (check out ebay and shopper.com for current prices). That makes this the least expensive full screen (640x480) near full keyboard (about 90%) handheld computing device out there. It is fast, easy to use, and most ... read more
