The new Thincom Modem Springboard Module by Card Access Inc. for the Handspring Visor was announced 6/14/00, and I purchased mine the next day. There were three distinct advantages I saw over the Handspring Modem immediately:

Pros: Not bulky, no batteries needed, easy to install, software can be replaced. Cons: Requires special cable, e-mail program is shareware, web browser is unstable.
I've had my Handspring Visor Deluxe for a year now, and I've been anxious to go online with it. However, I didn't jump at the chance to buy the first Handspring modem that was available; I wanted to wait until there were a couple of choices to compare....
