This is a great printer for the price. I prints fast in black and color. This printer also has good prints.

On the other hand this printer jams a lot. The power cord has a short in it and the paper in the photo tray sometimes is not picked up by the rollers. Otherwise this is a good printer.

Pros: Good Speed, SUPER QUALITY Prints,easy to use!
Cons: Expensive Ink, Chews up envelopes and small pre cut sheets of photo paper.

even has a photo card reader built into the right side of it. can function as a standalone printer, or you can connect it to your pc. GREAT BUY! MUST HAVE!!

I do alot of photos and graphic projects. I wanted a fairly inexpensive printer with above-average results. I have found the print quality to be just that. Now the bad news. Paper jams are a royal pain to even get to, much less remove. The worst? HP customer service is an illusion. There is no way that they will contact you from their website which is difficult to navigate and don't even think about calling them with a problem. Apparently it is all too easy to hit the language tab somewhere in the settings. I would offer more details but our printer only prints in GERMAN now. This isn't the first time this happened and HP wanted us to PAY for advice on how to correct it.Thanks guys. I should pay you for YOUR design flaws. HP? Never again. Canon was so much nicer and comparable in quality.

The HP company will always have my business when it comes to scanners and printers. This printer was purchased in the spring of 2000 and hasn't had a bad day yet. The quality of the pictures this unit prints is only limited by the quality of the instrument used to take the picture. Unfortunately the best results come at the expense of frequent cartridge replacement. The cost of the cartridges seems a little high, but when compared to the durability of the printer itself it becomes less of a factor. I started using this printer with Windows 98 and it has had the same performance with my newest computer and XP.
