Pros: :) Read the review. Cons: :( No really, read the review.
Man, do I love my Zip 250 drive. Of course, it has its flaws, which I'll be sure to mention, but I believe the pros outweigh the cons. Here's why.
The cons: When my Zip 250 reads 100 MB disks, it reads and writes much slower than my 250...

Pros: Easy and quick, a real no-brainer Cons: not a give away
The Zip Drive is exactly what it promises to be . . .
Easy to install, quick to use, and fool-proof.
After experiencing the pain of a Trojan Horse Virus that all but destroyed my on-line capabilities, Wiping away two years of stored...

Pros: More Storage than ever!!! Cons: 250 disks not compatible with 100 drives
If you want a pretty reliable medium for backing up your software, I would go with the 250 M B Zip Drive and Disks. It is fully compatible with the 100 M B version of the Zip. If you like to back up files I would recommend this medium. IOMEGA has...

Pros: Convenient Cons: A bit slow, often has problems, some serious others not; there are many alternatives, the most popular probably being CD-ROM burners
The Imoga Zip Drive is great. It's so useful to be able to easily transport loads of data from computer to computer. Plus, the drives and disks are nice-looking! There are two major, fundamental problems with the drive, though which I will discuss in...

Pros: Excellent device Cons: None
I own two 100mb Parallel Port iomega Zip drives, one 250mb iomega Parallel Port Zip drive and one internal 100mb iomega Zip Drive. My opinion is that the zip drives are the greatest device since the early computer era.
It used to be that I...

Pros: Fast and cheap Cons: driver installation under NT can be difficult
The 100 MB of the first version started to show their limits.
Fortunately Iomega came out with this new little jewel that I use daily to transfer my files from/to my workstation. I use it under Windows NT 4.0 workstation on an AP500 Compaq box. At...

Pros: portability, flexibility Cons: requires SCSI adapter if one is not present already
I recently picked up an Iomega SCSI zip drive, and I really think its great. the flexibility to share large files with friends and co workers is great, and it is really simple to use. Although I did also have to get the SCSI adapter card, the speed of...

Pros: compact size, large memory capacity, drive accepts both 100 and 250 MB disks Cons: disks are expensive, zips may "go bad"
When I first got my computer two years ago, I had a lot of problems with it. It crashed several times and it turned out the hard drive was faulty. After the hard drive was replaced, I decided to get the Iomega 250 MB Zip drive. I am happy I did. No...

Pros: Fast, Easy to use, Lots of space Cons: Disks are not that cheap.
I think iomega makes great products. I purchased my first zip 100 drive many years ago, and its still working today, even though I have had 2 more computers since then. I think its the greatest thing in the world. I just recently purchased a iomega zipCD...

Pros: fast and easy with lots of storage. Cons: Only one backup per disk.
We needed a backup and storage product of some kind at my office. I was impressed with the write up I saw in a past PC magazine. I chose the 250 rather than the smaller drive because we trade programs with different departments and this seemed to be...

Pros: Stores and recovers files quickly. Cons: Not all PC's have Zip drive access.
I purchased my Iomega Zip drive in a moment of desperation. A class I was taking in database management and design required that I work with some larger than 5 MB files. Since I am a full time professional and a part time student, I was not anxious to...

Pros: Easy to use, fast transfer speed. Cons: Not everyone has a ZIp drive to read the disks with.
Wow. The Zip drive has really come a long way, in my opinion, and I love it. The 250 mb. storage size is enough for most users, unless you count the CD burner people who usually make CDs as backup. Me, I use my Zip drive as a media transport device. It's...

Pros: Size, Storage, Price, Portability, Rugged, Sleek Cons: None
Being an avid Iomega fan, I purchased the Zip 250 after years of using the Zip 100. And not to my surprise, the Zip 250 was simply an improvement on an old idea.
Firstly, the Zip 250 has great storage capabilities. Having the ability to store up to...

Pros: hold a lot of info Cons: broke
These work well, but slow. I do not suggest using them for anything except major backup. I had tried saving important documents while working on them, but it took so long that I could have chiseled the info on a block quicker.
I was in the...

Pros: Durable and reliable storage -to be used appropriatly. Inexpensive. Cons: This is too slow to use as HD, because it is NOT a hard drive.
Amongst so many media storage options (CD-R, DVD-R, etc.) is the ZIP disk obeslete? NO. As we all know CDs and DVDs are prone to scratches which destroy the integrity of the files -I would never trust important data to a CD.
I am a writer paranoid...
