    Pros: Quiet, fast and inexpensive
    Cons: Adaptec software

Summary: If you plan on buying a new high speed CD-RW drive, do a lot of research before spending more money than you have to. This review is on the LG's top of the line CD-RW drive, the CED-8120B. The 8120B records CD-Rs at 12x, CD-RWs at 8x and reads CD at 32x. ... read more

  • Overall a great device

    May 04 '03
    Pros: Cheap, reliable and quick.
Cons: 2meg buffer, no performance difference from 32x comparable models.

Summary: Prior to purchasing the 52x, I had a Plextor 16x writer. On average it would take 4 to 5minutes to burn 700meg onto a disc. The 52 can do it in a max of 3minutes 9seconds on my system. Just for clarification, my system is no slug either!.. we're ... read more

Pros: Decent recording speeds, excellent value
Cons: Can't use for recording to DVD's

Summary: I bought the LG CD-RW 8x4x32x a few months ago, and it hasn't disappointed since. The LG CD-RW recorders come equipped with an easy to use software, so you can create music cd's, backup regular files, or copy from one cd to another. ... read more

Pros: Great buy for the money.
    Cons: None really

Summary: Well, my title says that the LG CD-ReWriter/Recorder is the best for the price, and that's true. In fact, I haven't dealt with any other piece of hardware in it's class that as quiet and friendly as this. I am running Windows ME, but it is compatible ... read more

    Pros: Cheap, reliable, good software
    Cons: none so far

Summary: I purchased an 8x4x32 LG CD-RW drive about a month ago. I installed it myself with only the aid of a screwdriver and the manual, and immediately installed the software effortlessly. The next day, I burned my first CD, and I am still burning happily ... read more

  • The cheapest CD-RW is also the best?

    Jan 07 '01
Pros: Cheap, easy to use, reliable.
Cons: Haven't found any so far.

Summary: I have been hunting for a CD writer for some time now and have been watching reviews and especially looking over Epinions. There wasn't much available on this unit (I got a CED-8081B) but I'm familiar with LG's other products and they've made a good ... read more

    Pros: easy, no error!
    Cons: None.

Summary: There are two LG-CDRWs. CED-8041B is 4x(W),2x(RW),24(R) and CED-8042B is 4x(W),4x(RW),24(R). Others are same, I think. Personally I bought CED-8042B. First, its design is very elegant, so I'm so glad only to look at it. It makes nearly no noise ... read more
