Ricoh MP7080 Series- An Excellent Drive With Adequate Software.

by rpllingrock Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 500, Mar 21 '01
Pros: Reliable
Cons: Included Software and Documentation is Weak!
This review covers the Ricoh MP7083A in the 7080 Series. My understanding is, that various 7080 drives include different pieces of software in an attempt to keep prices down.

The drive is capable of 32X Read, 8X Write, and 8X Re-Write.

Fast, efficient, and ready to burn!

by anachronism , Sep 09 '00
Pros: Fast, reliable, easy to use, easy to install, no trouble with media, very few bad burns
Cons: Bad packaged software (EZCD), needs a fast computer to burn at 8x, expensive compared to some

I just got this drive for Christmas 2000, OEM from Hypermicro.com for only $130. Excellent price for an 8x burner, especially one with 4MB of cache on it.

Perfect burns every time so far, no buffer underruns. And best of all, it's fully...
