Pros: great for a budget, quality and performance is great Cons: the volume buttoms were broke when I got the speakers
I purchased this model for my new HP pavilion. I have had the system for about 3 months, long enough to become fully acquainted with the pros and cons. As I sit here, I am listening to an MP3 (courtesy of Napster) on the speakers.

Pros: size, volume cntrl, sound quality Cons: no headphone jack on satellite
I received my ACS33's when I built my new PC. They had replace a pair of those standard cheap speakers, which work better as bookends. I had the opportunity to get some good sound, as I work from home a lot, and my company was picking up some of the...

Pros: Great sound, great price, best bang for the buck, easy to set up. Cons: kind of would be nice if you could adjust things like treble and bass right on the system, but not a big deal
Last Christmas I received Altec Lansing's ACS33 for a gift and it so far has been one of the best gifts I've ever received.
What about sound quality?
Sound quality from the ACS33 is wonderful. Lots of full sounding...

Pros: Affordable, and it cranks. Cons: Overly-Sensitive Volume Controls.
Altec has managed to produce a pretty nice little speaker system that is not only affordable, but all you really need, for under $50. What is surprising is that not only is it easy to hook up, but the system sounds better than most stereo systems. There...

Pros: Great Sound & Price Cons: No Volume Control on Sub
I needed some new speakers to go with my new SB Live! Platinum, as I had only $10 generics. When I saw this deal at one of the big name electronics/computer stores I couldn't turn it down. Buy a hard drive and get these speakers free (after mail-in...

Pros: clear, nice volume, small, easy acess volume controll Cons: no headphone jack
I purchased this product once I got my new computer. They were a very resonable price, and I choose these speakers over the others simply because the worker at the store told me they were the best buy. There is no doubt, the sound is crystal clear on...

Pros: Ranging from cheap to oh god are these cheap, sufficient bass for most people Cons: They ain't going to rattle the glass, quality can be inconsistent, high end is weak
A great deal if you keep your eyes open. These speakers usually retail for $49.95 or so, which is quite reasonable. Every once in a while though they go on sale, usually in the form of a retail rebate, and this is when it becomes impossible not to buy...

Pros: Nice sound, good price Cons: No tone control, all cords are hardwired
I recently picked up this set of speakers to connect to my home machine after having brought my old speakers to work. I wanted something that sounded good and had a subwoofer for deeper bass, and these speakers seemed to fit the bill. However, upon...

Pros: Great Audio Quality, Good Bass and Volume range Cons: Basic speakers, no Bass Adjust, Weak Sub woofer
The Altec Lansing ACS33 speakers are an excellent choice for any computer. The ACS33 is a 3 piece system featuring two separate speakers and a sub woofer. The sub woofer can go on the floor or anywhere around your PC and the speakers attach to it via the...

Pros: Crisp, clear sound. Added sub-woofer bass and sound Cons: None that I have noticed so far
I purchased these great speakers upon my arrival at college, my small laptop speakers just weren't cutting it for me. These are the best computer speakers I have heard thus far in any other dorm room I have been in. The speakers themselves are very small...

Pros: Compact size, dynamic sound.
Cons: Volume control wheel is a little hard to use.
I started out with a very small set of speakers that were bundled with my computer. I download and listen to quite a bit of music on the internet, so I knew that those tiny speakers wouldn't work for me. I purchased a set of Labtec speakers because I...

Pros: Small, easily hidden, affordable. Cons: Mids are a bit muffled.
These speakers rock. I originally bought these for a discman in my room, but quickly moved them to my computer. I prefer hip-hop music, but I do enjoy a little of everything, including classical. And everything sounds great!
The subwoofer...

Pros: Compact and good sound Cons: If you want extremely loud speakers, these are not it
Wow, i got these for such a good price and was very impressed with the output. I figured since they were so cheap, they wouldn't be that good. But i was very wrong. They are great for their size. The speakers are small and fit on my confined college...

I recently purchased this speaker system to replace the one which I recieved with my computer. At once, I was amazed by the sound. The dual speakers themselves easily outpowered my previous speakers. And with the addition of the subwoofer, the power of...
