Pros: Price, Quality, white color matches equipment Cons: high frequencies not reproduced well
I bought the ACS 33 speaker set in July of 2000 for about 50 bucks and Best Buy. Previously I had some Compaq factory speakers that came with the computer. My first impression of the speakers was that the sound quality was very solid. With many 3...

Pros: good sound, rich bass Cons: you can't control the treble
I purchased ACS33's to replace thee speakers. Because the ones that came with my computer was crappy (always change your speakers and get a subwoffer). I was amazed of the sound that these little speakers, kicked out. When playing games they really...

Pros: great sound Cons: limited controls
I recently bought these speakers and they sound better than speakers that cost several times the cost of these. The tone range is wonderful and the bass cube works great. The bass tones are very crisp and the highs are very sharp. The amplifier is very...

Pros: Small and sound great. Cons: Kind of fragile; Not loud enough sometimes.
I was looking for some affordable, and nice sounding speakers for my computer. I'm a DVD watcher and big game player. I also wanted something that was small so it wouldn't clutter my desk. These PC speakers have all of that. You wouldn't belive some...

Pros: great bass, superior clarity Cons: none
I recently purchased this speaker combination to replace the non-powered speakers that came with my computer. I was tempted to buy some cheaper sets, some with and some without the subwoofer, but got these because they just looked a lot cooler (there...

Pros: Great Sound, Price, Bass, Look, etc. Overall - Great Buy Cons: No Separate Treble/Bass Adjustment
I bought these speakers at Best Buy for under 50 dollars after the massive 8.25% Texas State Sales Tax . . . I have been pleased with them, ever since. It's been a good 6 months, now. I am using them with a Sound Blaster Live! Value card . . . which...

Pros: Good sound, clear highs, strong lows. Inexpensive Cons: Very easily blown, poorly designed sub.
At first I was very satisfied by this system. It produced incredible sound for the price I payed. The satelites put out crystal clear highs and the sub delivered respectable bass. I found the system to be very balanced despite the lack of bass and treble...

Pros: Great sound, Cheap Price, Small Package Cons: Volume knob is in a bad position.
I recently bought a new computer that came with the cheapest speakers I had ever seen. They were small, ugly, and sounded like it was made out of a tin can. I couldn't put up with that, could anyone? Well, I saw some Altec Lansing speakers in the AD's...

Pros: Loud, clear, small Cons: None
Reader's Digest version:
Small, clear, loud, cheap. How can you beat that? These speakers are great.
I don't like the volume dial on the one speaker, but that is minor really.
These small speakers are shockingly good,...

Pros: Deep Bass, Compact and Loud! Cons: None!
I bought these speakers at my local Office Max for 20 dollars. No rebates or nothing! I was orignally going to buy Cyber Acoustic speakers that were on sale for 20 but there weren't any on the shelves and they were subsituting it with these Altecs and...

Pros: clear sounds, cheap price Cons: ummm.. let me think on that one......
These speakers for your computer may not be 100 watt but they will rock anyones world. Altec Lansing has become THE leader in speaker systems and this set is a great example. The two satellite speakers put out a loud 10 watts as the subwoofer thumps...

Pros: Deep Rich and Thick Bass Cons: Short Wire, No Headphone Jack
I've been looking for decent speakers for my new computer in my room, and have been testing out various speakers from various manufacturers. By far, I've found the ACS33 from Altec Lansing to be the best value money can buy for under 20 bucks. Heck!...

Pros: Inexpensive, 3 piece set with subwoofer Cons: No separate bass and treble controls
The Altec ACS33 isn't the best sound system ever. It doesn't come with surround sound, and there are no controls to adjust treble vs bass. But if what you're looking for is a set of good speakers for less money, these are the speakers for you.

Pros: Good quality, top-mounted volume control Cons: Stereo only (no surround), no headphone plug
For the longest time, a good set of PC speakers with subwoofer was the Cambridge Soundworks PC Works, until Altec Lansing started making ACS33's. I got these from CompUSA.
The sound quality is good, but then I'm not an audiophile so I can't...
