Good Performance for Low Cost

by pointblankart , Apr 22 '01
Pros: compact design, tetherless/batteryless pen with eraser, excellent bundled software
Cons: mouse/driver hangs after a few minutes use
I had some reservations about the small 4"x5" active drawing area, but having used it for a number of months now it seems to be close to perfect for sketching purposes, and performs ably in more ambitious artistic designs as well.

The...

Trash The Mouse, Keep The Pen

by paulsimmons , Aug 31 '00
Pros: Looks and feels great.
Cons: Sucky mouse
I've been using the Wacom Graphire tablet for the last several months on a Windows 2000 Professional machine. I was unimpressed with the mouse that comes with the Graphire; it is sitting in a drawer somewhere... but the pen is excellent.

It...

by JessG , Oct 10 '00
Pros: Easy to use, pen sensitivity, cordless mouse included, comes with 6 programs, easy installation and great looks!
Cons: Practically no physical manual (online manuals included), no menu shortcuts on tablet.
This graphics tablet is a must for anyone who wants to do serious graphic design. Drawing, tracing, painting, etc will become so much easier in Photoshop, Illustrator, Painter and 3D programs. And for everyone who isn't into graphics illustration, you...

Cheap and portable

by jwy , May 08 '00
Pros: Economical, easy to set up and use, portable
Cons: Kind of flimsy, doesn't ship with current driver
I love my Graphire, because it solved so many problems for me: (1) I needed an alternative to the touchpad on my laptop, (2) I can't draw with a mouse, and (3) I have sore wrists from typing and playing guitar. Best of all, it solved them for not much...

Tablet junkie..

by krysta , Jun 19 '00
Pros: The pen is a marvel to use
Cons: Doesn't cover larger display areas
I was a little apprehensive when I handed over my money at PC World when purchasing my Wacom Graphire Pen and Mouse Set - it was money I didn't really have, specifically my mothers. But there's only so much you can do in Abode Photoshop with a mouse and...

by grapeskittles , Jul 09 '01
Pros: Awesome technology, extremely useful
Cons: Takes getting used to, most programs for PC
I have always been an avid drawer on my computer, so I was pleased to recieve this as a gift from my father. The device itself looks great, its sleek and sexy. Its not too bulky, and fits nicely on my desk. The pad comes with a cordless mouse and pen....

From portable PC to graphics workstation for a hundred bucks

by JoeEkaitis Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 500, Jun 10 '00
Pros: USB version works with both Macintosh and USB equipped PCs. Trouble-free installation with Windows 98 on USB version. Natural "pencil on paper" feel. Eraser and pressure-sensitivity supported in all popular graphics programs. Wireless, non-mec
Cons: Pen stand doesn't grip pen firmly.
Your jazzy new portable computer has plenty of processing horsepower. The Wacom Graphire USB is the easiest way to unleash it. Plug it into your computer's USB port and it serves as both a mouse pad (with its own wireless, non-mechanical wheel mouse) and...

Cons: pen's too big...
I use Wacom products at work (6x8) tablet and I love it. It helps with the battle against carpal-tunnel and functions very well with most of the graphic applications I use in addition to being very comfortable while I edit video.

I bought...

by CtrlZ , Jul 04 '00
Pros: cheap and cool colors
Cons: small but i'll live
Well I started out using a tablet and stylus back in school(96). We used the 8x6's since the school bought them. Well they were very nice and everyone said that they are going to get one, yeah right the full size cost so much ($250 to $400). So I was...

It's magic

by ndoggnumber9 , Jul 31 '00
Pros: Price, great product
Cons: nothing at all
#1 question that I had when I was going to buy this product is if this small product would be adequate, or comparable to the larger Wacom tablets. I actually bought this product thinking that I might not like it. Well, let me change that view. My screen...

Excellent Choice for the Hobbyist

by pinqkandi , Jul 13 '01
Pros: Easy to install & use. Very customizable. Comes with wireless mouse.
Cons: Small drawing area.
The Graphire is an excellent choice for the hobbyist graphic artist. Why not for professionals? The drawing area is very small for large applications. It's approximately 4" x 5". Otherwise this is perfect tablet.

The Wacom control panel,...

Cons: Included mouse ain't all that
I've been using this tablet for about 2 months now and am admitingly quite impressed. I sought out a tablet since the standard mouse just doesn't cut it when it comes to drawing and phot-editing. The Wacom Graphire gives you precise control while...
