Pros: Can do lots of different things, makes chatting even more fun than it already is! Cons: Security, kind of tricky to figure out at first.
I recently downloaded ICQ due to the recent demand of me getting it. Many of my friends and nearly all of my internet friends had been asking me to download it for a long time, and now that I have it I realize that I had no idea what I was missing....

Pros: online friends are in easy reach, if you want them. Cons: no negatives as far as I'm concerned.
This review's really for people who love the internet. People who want to be a part of it, or are net veterans already.
ICQ is great. But you have to understand the internet first. If you're still at the stage of having lots of strangers email...

Pros: talk to anyone, anytime; privacy settings; network is up 95% of the time Cons: tech support is only there for your comic relief
I worked at a small office, everyone had ICQ, it was the easiest way to send URLs and files. We had a chat going all day long talking about stupid stuff and work here and there. We could ask each other questions without having to repeat ourselves or...

Pros: features, large user base, awesome user interface Cons: May not work as well through firewalls
The best thing going for ICQ, which is owned by AOL, is the vast amount of useful features that is included with this instant messaging program. ICQ (pronounced I seek you) is another one of the major instant messaging applications available on the...

Pros: Tons of people use ICQ, Extra features and customizability Cons: Some stubborn friends choose to stick with aol
Take it from me folks. ICQ makes AOL instant messenger look like a complete joke. I've been using it free of charge for years (my number is 974547 if that tells you anything), and ICQ has grown into a powerhouse chat program. What does it do? ...

Pros: Features, Quality Cons: Not as well known as AIM
When it comes to instant messaging, most people would probably think of AOL Instant Messenger (AIM). There are however, many other excellent instant chat programs out there that are available free of charge. ICQ is one of them.
ICQ ("I Seek...

Pros: Impressive array of options and features, extremely easy to use, very wide-spread. Cons: High memory requirements, new versions sometimes fail to convert your contact list.
I'm not sure what can be said about ICQ that won't include any of the hype; it's by very far the most popular personal messenger client on the Internet, and that speaks for itself. Community-focusing programs' success is always measured simply...

Pros: Fun to chat with the 99b Cons: it isn't up and operational to the general public, just a select few
ICQ 99b is good. I highly recommend it. I find it to be wonderful in everything it was made for and it helps to keep me in touch with my friends. I recently came across a copy of the 2000 edition and thought it would be fun to have. What I didn't realize...

Pros: Good way to keep in touch. Cons: That send button!
I, like many, have ICQ. I do not keep it open all the time, because it tends to get annoying for me. The only time I do keep it open is to chat with someone I've met on IRC who does not have access to IRC at the time that they are online, and can only...

Pros: Lets me know when my friends are online Cons: none
ICQ was the first thing I downloaded when I got this computer. All my friends had it. It didn't take very long to download. Within 15 minutes I was up and chatting with my friends on ICQ. I thought it was so neat. I stayed up until 3 a.m that night...

Pros: Too Many to Name...Keep Reading! Cons: Too Much to DO, too little time!!!
About 4 years ago, my husband was over in Guam with the Navy and I was stuck over here in South Carolina. We needed a way to communicate other than snail mail. So we resorted to the internet. E-mail was the only way that we knew how to communicate...

Pros: Allows numerous services such as file transfers and phone conferences Cons: Can be tricky for a new user to learn
I like to think of myself as one of the original ICQ users. A friend introduiced me to it in 1997, and my original number was in the 3,000,000's. Way back then, I had a Mac, and the Mac version of ICQ was a beta(with very limited features-mainly...
