Pros: its so kewl Cons: nada
UH OH...Is something wrong you ask? No no, it's just ICQ letting you know that someone is sending you a message. hehe. ICQ is so cool. I thought the original ICQ was great but I just downloaded ICQ 2000 which is even better.

Pros: chat, messages Cons: not user friendly, few members, lots of ads, too many weirdos
I don't really like ICQ.
Although it has more features than Yahoo!'s or AOL's... it is not nearly as user friendly, and stays on top of your desktop or is minimized (and off the toolbar), and then doesn't function the same. It is a pain.

Pros: instantaneous way of communicating in real time, convenient Cons: messages from strange people are annoying if you don't want them
A couple of years ago, my best friend at the time, lived a long distance phone call away and it was becoming very expensive to talk to him. One day, he told me about ICQ and all of a sudden we were chatting for free. A big part of his family was on it,...

Pros: You can talk to other ICQ friends whenever you want. Cons: some random messages from spammers, easily deleted
I was one of those people who thought lowly of internet chat, like what a geeky thing it was to type at people rather than meet them in person.
However, because of ICQ I am now together with an awesome person.
You see, once upon a...

Pros: FREE; No Ads; Best IM Software; Multi-User; Powerful; Reliable Cons: Childish/Annoying Sounds; Owned by AOL but does not interact with AIM clients; Some Spam
I have been an ICQ user since several years ago, I even have a 6-digit UIN. Through the years ICQ has grown and gotten better. I think that ICQ is one of the daily rituals in my life because I am always using it. I believe that this program should be...

Pros: great multiple uses Cons: may not hook up?
ICQ is a great program for chatting with many other features. I have been using ICQ for about 2 years and each update has made it better and better. It is basically a program where you type a message and send it. You can also, however, send files and...

Pros: many useful and fun features Cons: takes a bit of time to explore and masters its features.
After trying both MSN and ICQ I would have to say ICQ is the better choice if you like plenty of options.
First, you can have fun with the text and font colors and styles.
Second, you can opt to reveal personal information about yourself...

Pros: It Rules Cons: AOL SUCKS, AOL INSTANT MESSAGER RULES!
I love AOL Instant Messager! It was about 1 year ago when i got AIM because i was kicked out of AOL because some hacker when on to my account and did something, even if AOL offer to give me my account back, i didn't want it!! I didn't want AOL anymore...

Pros: Easy to use, FREE, configure how you like Cons: If you haven't used earlier versions, the latest can be a bit confusing because of all the options.
ICQ in my opinion is the best instant messaging program around. Every version just keeps getting better and better. I personally have been using ICQ for 3 years and have had very little trouble with it.
I like that I can hide myself when I...

Pros: Cost effective Cons: slow, difficult to some
I use to have ICQ and AOL at the same time and one has emerged as the champion in the messenger title fight. ICQ lost the decisive battle in the first round because of many reasons.
First off, ICQ is slow. I prefer the messeges to be sent...

Pros: Private chat, FTP, search engines, etc. Cons: A few bugs here and there, and it's ran by AOL.
There really isn't much to say about ICQ. It's a messaging program just like AIM, in fact, so much like AIM there is virtually no difference. For example:
1). Buddy lists
2). Private chat rooms
3). FTP abilities
4). Both owned...

Pros: It's free, simple to install and simple to use. Cons: It can make conversing so easy that you become addicted to it.
I know there are already over 700 opinions about ICQ, but I thought my version of this epinion might be interesting to some.
Then again, it might turn all of you against ICQ immediately.
Back in 1997, I was a complete computer...

Pros: lots of bells and whistles, huge homepage option, free, and the leader in the race Cons: large file, basic knowledge of messaging systems helpful and have to "remember" it's there
ICQ, which was meant to sound like I seek you.. has been on my #1 one list for over 4 years now. Its is the most consistently upgraded web messaging service out there. They are the leader, the protocol that all others seem to follow.. but they offer so...
