Pros: Lots o' features and stuffs to play with Cons: Spam URLs, takes a bit of time to figure it out completely, takes up lots o' that good ole memory
Before I begin writing my opinion on ICQ I want to first say that I've reviewed this product before, when I first joined Epinions, and recently I re-read it, and it was horrible! I was embarrassed to call it mine. So, I've decided to go back and...

Pros: FREE! Fairly easy to use, great way to stay in touch with friends. Cons: Getting a little large in file size, can be a little slow to load.
I have to admit, when my friend initially got me to try out ICQ I detested it. The thought of being interrupted every 5 seconds by someone talking to me while I was surfing seemed like blasphemy! But after an hour or so of using it, I realised how much...

Pros: Everyone's got it Cons: It's bigger tha other equivalent programs
There can't be many of you out there that have not heard of ICQ. It seems that everyone who is using their PC (or Mac in my case) to chat on the Internet is using ICQ. Don't let me mislead you, ICQ is not a chat program like MIRC or going into a...

Pros: free, real-time, many features Cons: slow at times
ICQ is a real-time chat client, like Yahoo or MSN Messenger, but with many more features and a better interface. I believe it’s the best there is.
The 5MB sized installation file can be downloaded from the ICQ website. When downloaded and...

Pros: Easy to Use, excellent help files Cons: to best enjoy, both parties must have the newest version
Yes yes yes!! I love my icq! It allows you to get in touch with
people you know (or will meet in the future) without having to pay
for long distance calls, boot others (or yourself) off the internet,
and it allows you to...

Pros: ease of use, compatibility, features Cons: sound effects are cheesy
With so many Instant Messengers out there today (Yahoo! Instant Messenger, and AOL Instant Messenger to name a couple), ICQ stands out in the crowd. The grand-daddy of Instant Messaging, ICQ balances the ease of use needed for newbies, and the power,...

Pros: Thank Goth for the Authorization setting! Cons: I am... the keymaster!
Goody goody gum drops. Another user authorization request. This one is from someone named "BigPhallic1". And his request message was:
"HAY LETS CHAT I GOT BIG DICK"
Interesting. I do believe, once again, someone...

Pros: free, convenient, and very useful Cons: occassional spam, can work around
Why can’t you get a hold of your friends? Cause they are on the Internet and that is where you want to be. So how do some people get a hold of each other instead of using the telephone this great instant message program called ICQ?
I...

Pros: Real time chat, ummmm...that's it. Cons: Very confusing, very impersonal "number" instead of a screen name...
I'm so sick of seeing everyone on the internet and their brother broadcast their ICQ number like it makes them special. After a brief experience with the software, I've came to believe that ICQ is just a chat program with too many confusing buttons and...

Pros: Free, Simple To Use, Customize Name Shown, Control Visibility And Who Can Contact You Cons: Complex Layout, Not Very User Friendly, Novice Users Take Caution During Use
Why Did I Choose ICQ?
I've had ICQ for well over 5 years and always liked it. Basically I use AIM for my regular chat service, but since I am involved with many groups and whatnot I use ICQ as well. With many other programs such as AIM and...

Pros: The real time private chats. Cons: Almost everything else
Has one of your friends ever tell you about an Instant Messenger service called ICQ? Well many of my friends have told me over and over again to download it even though I already have AOL. Was it worth it? Well, for the hype that it...

Pros: widely used, convenient, lots of features Cons: annoying sometimes, a few bugs
ICQ is a widely used, internet "instant messaging" client that allows you to quickly send text-based messages to anyone else using the program. The good folks at ICQ have finally done good by their wonderful program, with it’s newest version:...

Pros: Great way to keep in touch with others! Cons: None that I've ever seen!
ICQ, in my opinion, is one of the best ways to communicate on the computer with friends and family for free! ICQ is basically a chat messenger service that runs on your computer giving you the ability to talk to people long distance without having...

Pros: the Windows version is excellent Cons: the Macintosh version is relatively featureless and not very useful
Just about everybody seems to have heard about ICQ these days. It's very, very popular, to the point where people who wish to contact me ask for my ICQ# almost as often as my email address. I stopped giving it out a while ago, though, because the...

Pros: easy to download and install Cons: occasional disconnects and unable-to-connects
I recently returned from a year long "vacation" in Korea with the military - and ICQ was the greatest thing I had going for me. Since this is what is considered a hardship tour - family members aren't invited, I was anticipating a very high...
