Pros: Available the world over; Call & billing history. Cons: Advertisements; Lots of errors on website.
Summary: I first began using Internet telephony - that is, the PC-to-Phone or PC-to-PC system - back in 1998, with Net2Phone. It was a still paid service then, and when similar FREE services like Dialpad were launched, I naturally flocked to them instead. When ... read more

Pros: it is ok when it works Cons: unreliable, especially on weekends when traffic increases, problems with billing
Summary: I make frequent phone calls from the US to Europe, and even though the 30-something cents/minute rate from the regular phone companies is not so bad, compared to the prices charged in Europe (e.g. $1 per minute in Poland) I was tempted to cut the costs ... read more

Summary: Before Net2phone, there was a dialpad, dialtree, and all other free pc to phone, pc to pc software.

Summary: I decided to try AIMphone (Net2Phone) when Dialpad wouldn't work on account of poor connections, probably a high number of lost packets coming from countries with inadequate IP services.
Generally the quality was better - both Dialpad and Net2Phone ... read more
