Pros: Whole new features, AIM integration, better, faster, engine, smaller download than usual, skins are somewhat interesting Cons: Mail client isn't that great (couldn't connect to Netscape Webmail), still slow and a tad buggy at times, various HTML and interface flaws
Summary: Throughout my online tenure, I’ve never really been a big Netscape fan. I’ve always preferred the speedy and stable Internet Explorer to the somewhat clunky and occasionally unstable Communicator suite. Recently though, America Online backed Netscape ... read more

Pros: Skins feature has the potential to be very cool; Smaller download; Faster core; Very customizable Cons: More crash-happy than any Netscape 4.x I ever saw
Summary: If I didn't know any better, I would think I was working with an alpha version of Netscape 6 after I downloaded it. Unfortunately, I do know better, and my once unshakable faith in the Netscape line of browsers has been rattled to the core.

Pros: password manager works well Cons: bloated
Summary: Netscape 6 is not a better product than its predecessor. It takes too long to load. It fails to display certain pages for no discernable reason. It locks up too often. The new interface is cryptic and no improvement over the old look-and-feel. (You can ... read more

Pros: Cookie manager Cons: Not Dependable
Summary: Updated 28/12/00: Netscape 6.00 crashes on average after every 1.5 hours of use!... After reading the reviews on NS 6 I'm thinking; why not test it while lurking around Epinions as a newbie?

Pros: Boy, it sure is pretty Cons: download times, inability to view pages, annoying side bar pop ups
Summary: I am just a novice internet user, I don't design web pages or anything like that, I just like to go on the internet and to games and look up information. But I do know when a browser is terrible, and Netscape 6 has terrible written all over it. ... read more

Pros: Good core engine, modern features Cons: Bugs, ergonomic screwups, and AOL content forced down your throat
Summary: Netscape (owned by AOL) have been desperately waiting for a browser which can again compete with Microsoft's Internet Explorer on equal terms. That browser was Netscape 6, all-new, all-singing and all-dancing. Meanwhile Microsoft has developed IE5 and ... read more

Pros: VERY Customizable. Has some neat features nothing else does. Cons: SLOW! Buggy. Not worth it.
Summary: I wanted to like it, I really did. I'm as far from a Micro$oft fan as you can be, and I've used Communicator for years, quite happily.
Communicator is showing its age, so I thought I'd try Netscape 6. I installed it on one of Mac's and one of ... read more

Pros: Noticeable improvement over Netscape 4 in numerious ways, faster Cons: Terrible testing job, buggy, slow to load (read review!)
Summary: This is my second review on Netscape 6.0 a pathetic mix of cross-marketing and utterly poor programming.
